Trends come and go yet some seem to come around time and again. I feel that way about python print – or snake print. Over the years I’ve owned pieces with this once again popular print. Sadly I didn’t keep them and wished I had! Like most trends, with enough exposure I start craving a piece or two. Today I’ll share my new trendy python pieces!
Before we get to the trendy python pieces let’s talk about something that NEVER goes out of style: making new friends! I’d love to introduce you to a new friend of mine, Susanne Thompson of Thompson Hill Blog. Susanne and I recently connected online and I’ll tell you, she is a delight! On her blog about small town living she shares her passions: family, food, fashion, and entertaining. I love her style and you will too!
But let’s get back to the python trend. I think I like referring to it that way rather than calling it “snake skin” – not sure why but python sounds less creepy to me. Python print is a neutral – just like leopard print is so let that allay your fears of how to wear it.
Although I initially thought I’d resist buying into the trend a tunic top caught my eye and the rest was history. The tunic top I bought back in January was on back order and it just arrived last week. This one from Loft is similar and on sale!
If you’ve followed me for more than a hot minute you know I have a love for kimonos. They are the perfect layering piece for me in the warmer weather. At 50 I don’t need to be baring it all so if I am wearing a tank or camisole a kimono is the perfect finishing touch! My kimono is under $7 from Amazon. It’s a great way to try the trend.
Here are some other pieces, including shoes, you might like to try!
Now, I hope you’ll go visit Susanne at Thompson Hill Blog and say hi! Give her a follow on Instagram as well!
Thanks for stopping by today, I am thrilled you are here! I’ll see you back here on Wednesday. Make sure you are following me on Instagram. I am sharing my daily outfits on stories and having a lot of fun!
