Summer neutrals are easy and chic and far from boring. Especially in fabrics that are breathable and cool – like linen blends, this can be a pairing you reach for over and over again. Today I bring you a head to toe outfit in summer neutrals that can be worn just about anywhere!
As I’ve shared before, one of my tips for staying cool in summer is to choose looser fitting clothing over anything tight. These wide leg, linen blend trousers caught my attention. They are light weight and barely touch my skin. The color is called “toasted twine” and they are available in a wide range of sizes. I am wearing them in a size 4 for reference in a regular length. They pull on and have pleating at the waist, however, I find the pleats to be very flattering. A lot of pull on linen blend pants have a drawstring waist. Since I have a tummy this can often accentuate that area and limit the kinds of tops I wear. These pants are a great option if you find yourself in a similar situation.
Fitted tanks are not usually my thing. I don’t enjoy calling attention to my large chest. Most of the time I conceal it and wear minimizer bras. With this tank I am wearing a regular bra with a clip in the back so the straps don’t show. I find this to be a better option for me than wearing a strapless bra.
Monochromatic outfits always look more chic, regardless of the color you choose. The ribbed tank in the same color as the pants seemed like a great choice for those long, hot, summer days. If bare arms aren’t your thing, drape a blazer over your shoulders or add a button down linen shirt.
I hope you enjoyed this post. There was a time I thought neutrals were boring but I’ve grown to really love them. My hope is that you’ll be inspired to re-create my look with items you already own or try something new!
