In My Shopping Cart

A little departure from my recent Monday posts which mostly focus on mental health and habits, today I decided to share with you what’s in my shopping cart. Frankly my head is swimming with so many ideas and topics I am having a hard time focusing. But I’m also finding that if I don’t share some of these things with you now, they’ll be sold out.

Honestly I should have called this what I just ordered because these things are on their way to me! Anyway…it is still summer but I’m thinking of less humid temps and the fact that I am still stuck on thinking that if I dress a certain way the weather will be influenced. Turns out this extremely flawed thinking but the heart wants what the heart wants. I want there to be a change in seasons so I dress as if not as is. The one saving grace for this order is that everything is light weight and wearable now (mostly).

Guess what? The entire order came to just under $150!

Elevated Casual

Elevated casual is a term that is overused in my opinion but sometimes there is just no better description. Since I no longer report to work in person (and haven’t for almost 7 years) this has slowly become my style. It’s comfortable, put together, not fussy – it’s elevated casual.

In my shopping cart and on the way to me are items that are mostly denim fabrication but in classic silhouettes. The denim blazer, the denim dress, the wide cuff denim – you get the picture. I can hardly wait to share them with you! I’m very excited about the lightweight satin bomber jacket – I’ll drape it over my shoulders, wear it over a tank, or even alone maybe with a slip skirt. So many ideas!
