Today’s post is going to be short and sweet. I’ll tell you why at the end of the post. But before we get to that, I wanted to share the sweater dress which I happen to think is Winter’s Perfect Dress! Not sure what to wear? Throw one on and voila, you are ready to go!
Winter’s Perfect Dress
A sweater dress is warm and cozy and when paired with a tall boot – it’s Winter’s Perfect Dress! A dress makes getting ready for the day easy peasy and especially at this time of the year – when you are probably so busy let’s not complicate things. If you live in a warmer climate like me then swap out the boots for a heel instead. You could even wear tights rather than a boot to stay warm.
My favorite sweater dress is old and from Express but this one is very similar. Many sweater dresses look like a long sweater but this one has a v-neck. I prefer the v-neck because it serves to elongate your body. I think it is very easy in cooler weather to look buried in our clothes or to feel so covered up by them you have no shape. I am really drawn to the styles that look feminine and beautiful while also keeping you warm.
My dress and the photos are from December, 2021 but I found some great options if you’re looking for a sweater dress.
I don’t talk too much here about our dog, Sophie. She is a 14 year old Shih Tzu and we love her so very much. Unfortunately her health has been declining lately and well, long story short, we are saying goodbye to her today. Needless to say, we are heartbroken. Much of our weekend was spent in turmoil trying to take care of her and make the best decisions. Last week I had called Lap of Love, after watching this video recommended by Jodie. Making these decisions is never easy but we don’t want our sweet girl to suffer anymore than she has to.
Once the decision was made and the appointment was scheduled, we spent our time spoiling our girl. We took her for a car ride because she loves to go ‘bye byes’, we held her, we spent time just being with her while she slept.
I have not felt much like doing anything to be honest. When your heart is breaking it’s hard to do anything fun or festive. I had contemplated not even writing a post today but I thought in some ways it might actually be helpful. So, thank you for being here and I appreciate your prayers and positive thoughts as my family faces one of the hardest days of our lives.
