I never get tired of saying happy Friday, hands down one of my favorite days of the week! Today I’m sharing Joy Bringers. It’s a little bit of this, a little bit of that and it has all put a smile on my face!
Joy Bringers – August 2024
It seems like by the time I get to Friday, I’m finally ready to recall all the things that brought me joy from the prior weekend. Last weekend was one of those full weekends that kept us busy and my heart so happy! The weekend (at least in my mind) kicked off on Thursday night at Bunco with my ladies group from church. I love these sweet friends!
Our besties had been out of town and we were finally able to spend some time with them! Friday night we went to a musical at the cutest little playhouse.
On Saturday morning my niece and I visited the Kappa Delta house at UCF where I was a KD. It was so awesome to take her through the house and visit my old composite photos on the wall. In the afternoon we went to see Twisters at a small theater(again with the besties) It’s a pub style theater so you sit at tables and they serve food. It was fun!
After the movie we went to grab a quick dinner and then headed back to their house to play dominoes. Remember my post about playing games? No surprise that’s how we ended the night!
On Sunday I got my walk in and then we knocked things off our to-do list. I had been wanting to update the photos (kind of a gallery wall but that sounds too fancy for me) hanging on our family room wall. Well, we finally did it! It brings me so much joy to see the people I love each time I come into the room. Pictures really are GOLD.
While I was working on projects I watched One Day on Netflix. Yep, I binge watched the entire series in one day (pun intended – ha!). It was so good!!!
Monday the joy continued! The day was very busy for me with work but we ended the night at Bingo with our favorite 8 year old niece! No photos this time – sorry!
Looking back at how much joy I felt from Thursday through Monday made me realize how important it is to schedule these kinds of things. I also realized that I don’t have to wait until the weekend to have fun!
Joy in the Clothes
Clothes bring me joy too, and I am not afraid to admit it! It’s not really about the material item it’s more about just really liking pretty things. Here’s a look at the things I have loved lately!

These shoes I mentioned last week – I love them! These are going to be great for now and through fall. The color is just what I wanted. The new bag I mentioned on Monday arrived and it is so good, I have enjoyed using it.
