Since this weekend I have a few events to attend I thought it would be a great time to share some of my Favorite Party Attire. I’ve got a few outfits I’ll be wearing as well as a few outfit ideas you can re-create with things you probably already own. I hope you enjoy it and find some inspiration along the way!
Favorite Party Attire
Tonight kicks off the 1st of 3 parties for the weekend. It will be the smallest, most intimate gathering with my discussion group from church. These ladies are important to me and I LOVE spending time with them. It will be pure fun! We are gathering at one member’s home and we’re each bringing a dish and a drink. So it’s definitely more casual but still celebratory! I want to look festive and comfortable but not over the top. I ordered these silver pants from Loft – they are out of stock sadly, but they look great with my super soft red cardigan.
Saturday I have a brunch and gift exchange with my sorority’s alumnae association. It’s at a restaurant in downtown Orlando and we’ve been asked to wear red. The temperature is supposed to be around 80 degrees but we will be inside so I’ll be wearing the cabi suit I mentioned yesterday.
Sunday night is another party with women from church. It’s a larger gathering at someone’s home. Again, I’d like to look festive and comfortable. It will be warm – and it is supposed to rain. Also with so many women invited it should be pretty crowded and I’ll likely be on my feet much of the time. These are all the things I consider when I am outfit planning.
My cabi pants and this bodysuit from Avara look so good together! No need for a jacket since the weather will be warmer on Sunday. I’m wearing the comfortable heels I mentioned on Monday.
Last week I wore my velvet blazer to my women’s group at church so that’s why I am not wearing it on Friday or Sunday since I will essentially be with the same women. Below is a selfie I posted from last Friday.
What to Wear When You’re Not Sure What to Wear
This outfit idea will work for any kind of event I think. The good news is you probably have similar pieces with which you can re-create this look. A few sparkly accessories can turn your basic wardrobe staples into a stand out holiday outfit!
When in doubt, start with a monochromatic base outfit – all black, all white, or any color you like. Then add to that a completer piece – that magical blazer, jacket, or cardigan that pulls it all together and elevates the outfit.

Check out this blog my friend Cathy writes. She shares useful information and I really liked her Podcast recommendations.
I hope you found a little inspiration here for your next holiday outing. The season is going by so quickly that before you know it, we’ll be putting away all the sequins and sparkles so let’s enjoy it while we can!
