March Closet Additions

Welcome to this week’s edition of Fashion Files. Since it is now April (how???) it’s time to recap my March Closet Additions. Each month I recap those items I purchased as well as those I was gifted. It’s practice that helps me figure out my buying behaviors as well as my personal style. Let’s get to it, there’s a lot to cover!

Let me start by saying I bought way more in March than I had planned. I don’t regret anything so that’s good. But I am thinking that my goal for April is to refrain from buying anything. I’ll have gifted items most likely but I don’t plan to buy anything. We’ll see how that goes!

What I Bought in March

Loft Purchases

I initially bought this brown striped shirt to wear with my brown linen pants. The browns don’t match and I don’t think it will work. For a brief moment I thought of returning it but decided against that. I really like it and have already worn it a few times.

Last Thursday my mother and I when shopping and popped into Loft. They have 50% off storewide! I bought this peplum blouse and white dress.

I cannot seem to get enough of vests lately. I thought I ordered this from Loft over a week ago. It never arrived so I ordered it and picked it up in store. Photos to come later!

Target Purchases

Target has impressed me so much lately! Blue and I are having a MAJOR moment! I bought this blue button up, the gorgeous one shoulder top, this black maxi skirt, and this peplum tube top, and matching pants. During the Circle Week sale last week I picked up this t-shirt, this one, these blue shorts, and this tank.

Walmart Purchases

Even though I have a decidedly more casual lifestyle, I still enjoy a suit. It helps too that suits are being worn more casually now and aren’t just considered business attire. These crepe pants and blazer caught my attention. I have one word – WOW! You’ll hear more about this soon. I am wearing a size 4 in the pants and an XS in the blazer. I think this would make an amazing Easter outfit!

Gifted Items in March

There are a few brands on Amazon I work with and I was thrilled to get a total of 3 dresses this month. This pink and green one, the blue striped one, and the navy dress with the zipper down the front.

The pull on stretch shorts are the perfect length! They are very comfortable and come in 4 colorways and in size 0-18. I’m wearing a size 4. With both the shorts below and the pink pants, I am wearing the organic cotton slub tank with knot detail. The knot detail is so nice because you don’t have to worry about tucking – it basically styles itself. The tank comes in 5 colorways and sizes S-XL -I am wearing a small.

Oh hello, pink pants!!! These patch pocket flare twill pants in begonia are so fabulous! They come in a total of 6 colorways and sizes 0-18, I am wearing a size 4. They have a nice weight to them with some stretch.

Nothing says spring and summer like a chic linen blend shirtdress. I love the vertical stripes on this one and the slits at the sides. It buttons up completely so you could wear it as a duster if you’d like. I am wearing a size small, it comes in sizes XS-XXL.

Clara Sunwoo

Clara Sunwoo asked me to select an outfit. I chose this navy jumpsuit and pink liquid leather jacket. I am smitten with both – I could not love liquid leather more. It’s the perfect weight. The navy jumpsuit is just stunning! You can use my code KELLYANN10 to save sitewide!
