Happy Valentine’s Day friends! Do you have plans? How do you celebrate? We’re pretty low-key around here. But I am a fan of any chance we have to show love to others and celebrate! Today’s Friday Favorites are the typical, all over the place round up of things that have caught my attention this week.
Friday Favorites – Valentine’s Edition
Entertaining – My home entertaining kick has continued this week. On Tuesday night we hosted a big dinner! One of my mother’s best friends (since high school) and her family were in town. I made the chicken chili I mentioned here. It’s the easiest way to feed a crowd. We had such a wonderful night, laughing and talking, it was a lot of fun!
Last night I had a friend over for dinner. Just the two of us. She requested I make this Curry Salad Dressing because she loves it! I’ve been making it on and off for over 20 years- it’s easy and so good! This recipe if from the Southern Living 1997 Annual Recipes cookbook.

Cashmere Sweater – I ordered another cashmere sweater from Quince. This time I went for the v-neck design in ivory. My friend Marsha had mentioned that she had read in the reviews that these sweaters pill. From what I understand, cashmere does pill and needs to be shaved. I have worn my burgundy one several times and have only noticed the slightest bit of pilling under the arms. Quince does have a 365 day return policy though so if you order from them and aren’t pleased – take advantage of that and make the return.
Sonicsmooth Dermaplane Device – I worked with this brand, Michael Todd on Instagram and was I ever surprised at how well this Sonicsmooth Device worked. Show I Binged Last Weekend -Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix was so good!!! It’s just one season and it’s based on a true story. I was hooked and sad when I reached the end.
What I am Eyeing – Pink sneakers! Do I need them??? I am not sure but I do know that my sneaker collection is growing. I am not unhappy about that btw, it’s so nice to have comfortable and stylish shoes to wear. These caught my eye and I am seriously considering them. What do you think?
