4th of July Outfit Ideas

Listen, I’m not looking to break the internet or anything with this post BUT I do have some cute 4th of July outfit ideas to share with you! I know, I know, you are expecting red, white, and blue and you certainly wouldn’t be wrong. But gosh, I have been drawn to some cute pieces lately that just happen to fit the bill. Humor me and read on, m’ kay? On top of that, since I live in a hot and humid climate I chose shorts and dresses. Feel free to swap white pants or even jeans for the shorts if you’d be more comfortable.

4th of July Outfit Ideas

No need to drone on and on about how to dress for the birthday of the USA. But I feel strongly that all Americans should enjoy the day and show our country some love dressing in red, white, and blue! Let me also say that I don’t feel like you have to wear all 3 colors at once. But in most cases, I would paint my nails red if I am wearing blue and white just for a little extra fun.

Avara has some of the cutest tops lately. I’ve wanted to try a top with a cut out and this one works well for me. I can wear my regular bra and it’s not too low cut. The puff sleeves are adorable and the color? Well, it’s that beautiful blue we are seeing everywhere! It also comes in red. I am wearing a small in the Erin top. Remember you can use my code on your 1st purchase from Avara to save 15% – THISBLONDE15.

The Brandy top is hands down a favorite of mine! I am wearing it in a small. It’s a tencel fabric which means it is lightweight and silky feeling. Also? Cute details like the puff sleeve and v-neck.

You have seen my red Agnes top. I’ve washed and worn it twice, it’s vibrant and pretty! I am wearing it in a small.

White shorts are a necessity in my book when it comes to summer. I’m loving the pair I recently bought. They are not see through at all, the leg isn’t tight nor is it too wide – pretty perfect if you ask me. I like the length too.

Not a fan of white shorts? I am IN LOVE with this red pair I bought last month at Loft. Funny, I cannot remember owning red shorts previously. This top, called the Susan top, is another favorite of mine. In fact each time I wear it I get compliments!

Then there are the dresses! Oh, this one from Loft – it is my princess dress. I swear, I feel so pretty in it! The Gentry dress from Avara is blue and white seersucker with eyelet detail – summer perfection!

The Gentry dress from Avara has sweet seersucker and eyelet all wrapped up in one! I think if you’re taller this may be too short – I am 5’3.5″. I am wearing it in a small.

This dress just couldn’t be any easier to wear. This style looks good on everyone and the length is great too.

So, do you have plans for the holiday? I have none right now. But I am off all next week – our virtual school shuts down for one whole week this time each year. Whether you do something big or some small DO SOMETHING! Remember my Monday post about celebrating?

There will be no Fashion Files next week due to the 4th of July holiday!
