How dare I even mention anything remotely related to self control and discipline during this time of the year! But, hey, we have to have an eye on the future, right? However, as 2025 looms, and since I try to discuss mental health topics on Mondays, why not bring it up? Who else wants to get health in 2025?

The new year is the time when we all set those resolutions and goals. Often they are related to health and weight loss. Most of the women in this community are midlifers and that adds a certain element to the mix. Many of us are not just interested in being thinner or a smaller size, we want to be healthy and feel good. Let’s get healthy in 2025!

Healing Hormones and Fat Loss

Over a month ago I had a conversation with a friend on Instagram. She’s an RN (soon to be ARNP), a functional medicine practitioner, and health and weight loss coach. Allie works with the Faster Way to Weight Loss. She lost 80 pounds herself! Her journey taught her that losing weight and getting healthy is challenging. Her doctor told her that her lab work all checked out so there was no reason he could see that she’d have trouble dropping the pounds. But she knew better. This led to a deep dive into hormones and how they affect a woman’s ability to lose weight. The result is a special program called Healing Hormones and Fat Loss.

The Healing Hormones and Fat Loss program is a 6 week plan that combines nutrition and exercise but also includes a close look at hormones. In fact Allie will counsel you and review your lab work! When Allie and I chatted, I knew this was something I wanted to share with my community. I have extensive experience in weight loss – I worked for Weight Watchers for 15 years as a leader. My health has been a priority for me after having my youngest son almost 25 years ago. I’ll share more about that at a later date.
