Boy, it’s been a week that seems to have flown by! Happy Friday sweet friends and cheers to the weekend ahead. Today is a wrap up what I am loving right now.
The top of my list of what I am loving right now is that my 85 year old uncle and aunt are in town. They are going on a cruise for Thanksgiving and flew in from NJ on Wednesday. This is my dad’s brother and it’s like having a little bit of my dad back. Even as I type this I am tearing up. My dad passed in February of 2019 and I still miss him every single day.
Please note my mother took this photo and held the camera at an awkward angle. I have to speak to her and show her but thought it was worth mentioning. If you struggle with getting good photos on your phone check the angle you are holding the phone and be sure the lighting is good – the subjects in the photos should be facing the light (we got that part right because I told her where we needed to stand).

Since my love language is quality time, I try not to miss get togethers with my sorority’s alumnae association. On Wednesday night we had a Friendsgiving and this is what I wore. It was so much fun and can you believe that I have NEVER been to a Friendsgiving before? We have been out of town or I had a work conference in past years. I loved being able to go this year.

By the way, my boots are on sale for Black Friday! These were a bit of a splurge for me when I bought them a few months ago but they are not trendy so I know I’ll have them for years. The color is one I enjoy and they feel good on my finicky feet! My dress? Also on sale! I am wearing an older hair topper that I decided to put partially up in a clip. Also? If my skin looks glowy I used this on my legs and my neck because I was too pasty in my opinion. It brushes on easily.
These sparkly jeans are definitely something I am loving lately. I tried them on in store when I was in Maine but ordered them in a size up and like the fit much better. The length is great, at almost 5’4″ I can wear a kitten heel or even a sneaker with these. A lot of the time wide leg denim is very long and requires a higher heel but not these. At $29 they are budget friendly but look so bougie! Even though they are perfect for the holiday season, the rhinestones are somewhat subtle and I will wear them beyond the season.

The rhinestones are only on the front of the jeans too! Wearing my Hepburn wig here. This is the hair I always wished grew out of my head, ha!!!

Hold on tight for this next one because I am about to admit I was wrong about shapewear. For the record, I have always despised shapewear and if something I wanted to wear required it, well, I’d choose not to wear it. I have tried many brands and some were tolerable. But none were perfect. Ruby Ribbon? I spent quite a bit, wore it to an awards dinner for my son and it rolled up and down so much I was so uncomfortable. After that I pretty much swore it off. HoneyLove reached out to me and because I had heard rave reviews I said yes, why not? Game changer. I chose the mid thigh body suit in size medium and what can I say? Perfection. It’s comfortable, I don’t feel like I am wearing a girdle, has an open gusset (bathroom trips are a breeze), and it’s lightweight. They have a terrific Black Friday sale going on now too.

I love a simple holiday look that doesn’t require too much effort. This green necklace looks so good against this Walmart black sweater. Easy peasy for the holiday season, right? The necklace is from a new to me brand that I am working with called Hello Baabs. You can use my code KELLYANN20 to get, guess what? 20% off!

This black necklace is also from Hello Baabs. It’s exactly like my favorite gold one from Amazon. And yes, I am once again wearing the corduroy shirt (seen at the top of the post) because it’s that good. The booties I am wearing? Also on sale. I bought them in two colors last year and they have been so good. A kitten heel and a shaft that is high enough that it doesn’t interfere with pant legs. They run TTS.

Okay, I could go on and on here but I’ll end this for now. We are on the heels of holiday craziness with Thanksgiving here in the US next week. For the record, I do not have my tree up, there are no fall decorations in my home. You know what? I am alive and breathing and living just fine. I’ll get to the Christmas decor when I get to it but I refuse to let it stress me out. I hope you can do the same of anything at all feels like a lot right now. Ask for help if you need it – no one person should be orchestrating the holidays, allow it to be a team effort. I’ll leave you with that!
