Just like that it’s the 11th month of the year! Here’s hoping you had a great Halloween and that you are ready to turn the page to a new month with new possibilities! For this week’s edition of Friday Favorites I thought it would be fun to recap a few new beauty and skin care items.
Friday Favorites – Hey, November!!!
Since I am sharing a few new (and one old) beauty favorites, let’s kick things off with a great lip! I bought this lipstick well over a year ago and have used it a few times. Each time I use it I wonder why I don’t use it more. Hmmm…it’s such a pretty color, lasts a long time (but not labeled long wearing) and it feels good on. It’s not trying at all! During my Instagram stories this week I have had several people comment on my make up. One even requested a tutorial. I will attempt that!
You know how I said I had one old product? Sorry, I should have said two. Because it bears mentioning AGAIN, that this foundation is just fabulous and the price cannot be beat! I apply it with a damp beauty blender.
A few new skin care items I started using include this super affordable moisturizer. It’s lightweight and I love it! My skin feels soft after I use it. This moisturizer has hyaluronic acid in it, is vegan, clean, and cruelty free!
Maelove Skincare let me pick out a few products to try. I really like this exfoliating cleanser and have been using it in the morning. I’m using this eye serum and this smoothing serum as well. I believe the smoothing serum is doing wonders for my make up application! Honestly! It sounds kinda crazy I know but I can feel a difference immediately when I use it.
Finally, I do my own nails and I feel so much better with a painted nail than a bare one! I now own 3 bottles of Expressie quick dry nail color. It wears very well and dries so fast! I no longer use a top coat or quick dry product. I am thinking of throwing out all of my old nail polishes because I doubt I’ll go back.
A Few More Favorites
You know how I mentioned this ring a few weeks ago? When my husband wanted to buy me a piece of jewelry for our 30th anniversary it was what I thought of! Well, it was part of a 2 for $75 promotion so I ordered it on Sunday! I bought it and the matching necklace for $75. Such a great deal since the ring is $98 on its own. They are supposed to arrive today and I can hardly wait!
Darn it all, I was going to end it here but now I can’t. These jeans are too good not to mention as are these shoes. I am kicking myself for not grabbing the shoes in black when they were on sale last week but even the regular price is very affordable. I sized up a half size. The memory foam foot bed is a dream! I wore them all day yesterday to run errands and have lunch with my friend. I am impressed!
