After a long weekend away I am pleased to bring you this Friday Favorites – Back from Vacation edition. I love little getaways that are not more than a few hours drive. Exploring new places, eating at new restaurants, and of course unplugging from the daily grind. It does a body good, don’t you think?
Last Saturday my husband and I traveled to Amelia Island with our besties. We enjoyed all things Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, and even took a quick trip to Jekyll Island and Brunswick, GA. Now that I’m back from our quick mini vacation, I am ready to share some favorites.
Favorite #1 – Vacation Fragrance
I love exploring lots of little shops while away. The Amelia Island – Fernandina Beach area had so many cute little boutiques. In so many, I saw this fragrance and finally sampled it. Love at first sniff! It smells like the ocean, like summer, all the goodness of a relaxing getaway. My husband loved it so much he offered to buy it for me immediately (that never happens). I’m enjoying it immensely.
Favorite #2 – Clothing Purchases
I can hardly go away without shopping unique clothing boutiques! At Pearl, I purchased this Megan Scott dress. It’s a scuba material, my favorite color, and a classic shape & style that will stand the test of time. Definitely a great purchase, albeit a splurge, but since this is my birthday month, I said yes to the dress!

On our final day, we stopped at Goodwill. My husband has a very lucrative side hustle selling antique toys and collectibles. This requires lots of time at estate sales, yard sales, and of course Goodwill. While he was shopping this Chico’s linen shirt (similar) jumped out at me. It was $4.99 and like new. I brought it home, washed it, and wore it yesterday. I LOVE it! If you caught my post from Tuesday, it was a contributed content pieces, then you read about how thrifting can really be helpful while developing your personal style!

Favorite #3 – High Protein Breakfast
While I’m away, I eat what I want, when I want it. Upon returning home, I resume my healthy eating and always feel so much better! Lately I have been enjoying this high protein breakfast and thought I’d share it with you. So many women have a hard time eating all the protein they need (rule of thumb, you need 1 gram per pound of your ideal weight). This combo is so delicious, it really tastes like dessert yet packs 50grams of protein and is only 370 calories. I love that all that protein keeps me feeling full until lunch!

Well, friends, that wraps up this edition of Friday favorites. I appreciate you being here and wish you the very best for the weekend ahead! Check out my previous posts below if you missed any!
