February Beauty Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! The weekend is so close I can practically taste it and for me it’s a long one thanks to President’s Day on Monday. It’s one of the perks of working in education, having federal holidays off and I don’t mind a bit! It’s time to share some February beauty favorites with you, these are the things I order over and over again.

February Beauty Favorites

With so many products on the market it’s hard to resist the temptation to try something new. There’s always the latest and greatest thanks to social media. We’ve all heard about the viral Tik Tok products and those that broke the internet, right? Truth be told sometimes I fall for it and click add to cart before I really take the time to think things through but I am learning to be a bit more discerning.

My first beauty favorite is one I have shared on the past and guess what? I heard about it on Tik Tok! It’s one of those times that the product actually lived up to the hype and delivered great results. This is my foundation of choice. I’ve tried both the matte and the dewey finish and have no preference; I love them both! The shade I use is Bronze Beige. For me it stays on all day and I like the buildable coverage. I do use a beauty blender to apply it.

From the same line, I use this translucent setting powder. It’s inexpensive but effective. It doesn’t look cakey on my face and I even use it to set my under eye make up. I use these powder puffs to do the undereye area and use a brush to dust it on my face.

My scalp seems to have gotten a bit drier with menopause and I am not complaining about that! It’s allowed me to skip washing my hair each day. I use this dry shampoo. It’s not anything special but it does the trick. I really like this thickening spray from Better Not Younger and coupled with the dry shampoo my 2nd day hair usually looks pretty good!

All year long I use self tanner. In the cooler months I don’t do my legs as often but I use it at least once a week on my upper body. Without a doubt, this is my favorite self tanner. It dries quickly and delivers a very natural color. I don’t find it has an odor either.

If there was one thing I wish I could change about my beauty habits it would be painting my nails. I do not enjoy manicures and pedicures and have a hard time getting polish to stay on. However, I love the look of painted nails! I prefer something neutral – white or like pink. My favorite OPI color is Mod About You but I recently purchased Funny Bunny and I love it!

One final beauty product is this lip balm. I use it in the morning before I leave to work out and it has been such help in the cold weather. I know there are a lot of lesser priced options available but for me, this one works the best.

Your Turn

Now it’s your turn! I’d love to know what beauty products you are loving lately. Any tried and true favorites?

One last thing…Avara is having a President’s Day sale through Monday, February 19th. You can shop the pieces included in the sale here and with code PRES30 get 30% off. These pants look a lot like the Spanx twill pants but they are a fraction of the cost. This sweater in hot pink is gorgeous (I have it in white) in a size small. It’s a super soft fabric that feels like a mix between scuba and knit if that makes sense!

JCrew is also having a great sale, 30% with code SHOPNOW. Their sale includes lots of great pieces for spring, including my lady jacket. I am wearing it in a small.
