April Closet Additions

Welcome to this Thursday’s Fashion Files featuring my April Closet Additions. Each month I share my clothing purchases as well as anything I’ve been gifted. This helps me evaluate my shopping behaviors and learn from them.

Last month I seemed to acquire quite a bit so I promised myself that April would be better. It was! I purchased only two items. Who am I????

Purchases

Both purchases were made when we traveled to Jacksonville a few days before Easter. One of our first shopping stops was Nordstrom. I tried on loads of things but only bought one! This dress! It was my husband’s favorite and I have to admit I felt really good in it. I believe this dress is one I will wear for a very long time since it’s a classic cut. I am wearing a size small – it comes in sizes XXS-XXL and 4 colorways.

The other purchase was one I shared last week – my barrel leg jeans! I tried them on at Madewell but never expected to like them as much as I do!

Gifted Clothing

Anrabess gifted me this 2 piece linen blend set. I wore it out to lunch last week with friends. It was equal parts comfortable and chic – a great way to stay cool while looking good in the heat. Since it is from Amazon, you know it comes in lots of other colors. I am wearing a size small.

I have to say, I am very impressed with myself! Having only made two purchases in April is almost a record for me. Moving forward I don’t have much of a wish list as far as clothing goes. One thing I’m interested in adding to my wardrobe is a cropped jacket. I’m also due to receive a Trendsend box from Evereve.
