Good Friday Favorites

Happy Good Friday my friends! I am writing this on Thursday and when it goes live on Friday I will be in St. Augustine. Our Easter plans this year are quite a bit different than usual. Our older son is in a wedding on Saturday in St. Augustine. He and his girlfriend flew in Thursday night to Jacksonville and we’ll spend the weekend together. They’ll be busy with all kinds of wedding stuff but we’ll have Easter together and my heart is full. It is a good Friday indeed!

Since it is Good Friday I decided to make it the theme for today’s post. Why not share all the good shows, sales, times, and start to the day!

Good Shows to Watch

Lately I have watched some good shows! I know I am always interested in recommendations from other so I figured maybe you are too! Some of my favorites: Holland, 1923, Landman, The Happy Face Killer, and Nothing But A Good Time. Good Sales

I am always up for a good sale and of course retailers are always having one! I think Aerosoles is still offering 30% off sitewide. I love the 2 pair of Camera shoes I have from them and one pair of Collin. I ordered these on Wednesday and I can hardly wait for them to arrive!

This doesn’t really fit anywhere else in this post but here are the dresses I brought on our trip for the weekend! It’s supposed to be 90 degrees so that means dresses for me!

Good Times

Probably because last year we were preparing ourselves for my husband’s upcoming prostate cancer surgery and now that we are on this side of things, life seems easier, but man, I have had some good times lately. Sorry for the run on sentence btw. Life just seems to be full of joy lately and I don’t want to miss that or not acknowledge the simple joy in my every day life. Nothing big has happened but I find myself just happy with the mundane and daily activities. Simply put I am grateful for my life. I know things will not always be trouble free but I accept the good with the bad.

These pictures are just a few of the things I did last weekend. I was so happy to go to my Mom’s Group at church on Friday – it’s a BIG group! I also got a mani/pedi and on Monday morning I picked up groceries. These things brought me joy!

Good Start to the Day

Every morning I start my day with my devotional. I am a big fan of Joyce Meyer – she is straight forward and tells it like it is! I have had this devotional for a few years now and I never tire of it. If you have a favorite one please tell me in the comments.

I cannot let this week go by without sharing that YOU are good to me. Yes, YOU! My blog turned 9 years old this week and it is hard to believe. Trust me when I say it has been a learning experience and I am still humbled and amazed that anyone reads this blog. Each year when I have to pay all of the fees associated with this blog I ask myself if I should keep going and investing time and money doing this. Does anyone read it? Does anyone even care? Is there any value? But the answer is yes, YOU do care and YOU are here and I hope it’s because you find value in this space. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
