Happy Friday, friends! I’m feeling extra festive since I am off work until January 6. I am looking forward to all things Christmas. This is my favorite time of year and I just love to be out and about to enjoy all the decor and how happy everyone is!
Friday Favorites December 20
Last Thursday evening I was invited by a friend to attend an event at the Dior store in our bougie mall! I really enjoyed meeting other influencers/creators in the Orlando area. Everyone was so nice!
They treated us like queens! They served cocktails and hors d’oeuvres that were delicious (one had caviar!!!). Of course I bought nothing but I sure did enjoy it. Listen, I love a nice luxury bag or belt but I save for this things for a long time. The people who were shopping at Dior were buying multiple things and just got what caught their eye – I am seriously surprised that I don’t have a photo of my jaw dropping!
Speaking of bougie, I like to wash my sheets and towels with luxury laundry detergent! I feel so fancy and I absolutely LOVE slipping into bed as well as wrapping myself in a towel that smells fabulous. So here’s what I have found – the best detergent, in my opinion, is Bath & Body Works! My favorite scent is Mahogany Teakwood. I have also used the one from Tyler and to be honest, it didn’t compare. I know some people swear by it but the scent was not strong enough for me. I also love Buff City Soap’s detergent but I have to use their scent beads as well. Bath & Body Works detergent is strong enough to use alone. I am hooked!
This sweater with the pearl details is another favorite. It comes in lots of colors but I love this neutral one. The knit is soft and luxurious feeling! It dresses up my favorite jeans so nicely! Use my code THISBLONDE15 to get the jeans for just under $58!
Let’s talk a minute about how Loft is basically giving their clothes away with all these incredible sales! Definitely a favorite of mine. I bought this pair of jeans last weekend and went to pick them up in store on Monday. Well, they didn’t look good at all – and I never even snapped a photo. When I went to return them the next day, I tried on a few more things. Long story short – I bought the track pants and the lip button up. I had to order these pants in a petite (they remind me of these pants from Anthro) , these, and this pair in cream. I feel like these are all such good basics. The wide leg pants can be worn with a sneaker or other flat shoe which is a major plus in my book! The fabric is incredible too!
Last Friday I met some friends for lunch and wore these gold pants from Loft. I loved how this outfit came together and added a brooch I bought back in the 90’s! Early 90’s in fact from Premier Jewelry!
We are headed to Philadelphia on Thursday of next week to visit our son. I know it will be soooooo cold! I bought this pair of boots to keep my feet warm. The price is incredible! I also really like these too. Now, if I lived in a place that had snow regularly, I’d invest in a more expensive boot. But for the random visits I’ll have here and there to the snowy tundra of PA, these meet my needs just fine!
Whew! That was A LOT! I wish you the very best day friend. I know this time of year can be tough but I also hope you can find some joy. Things are not always perfect, believe me. I’ve had my share of trouble this week but I am fighting back and refusing to allow my joy and peace to be diminished. How am I doing this? Through prayer talking to close friends. I always feel better when I do both!
