This Thursday’s edition of Fashion Files is all about how to get the look for less. ANY look not just what I’m showing you or I have found. You’ll want to Pin or share this post – or both! Let’s get into it!

I found this photo on the Tuckernuck website and was immediately drawn to it. This is my vibe. I love a structure piece like the blazer paired with casual denim and a cute heel. To me, this say effortlessly chic. As is the case whenever this happens, I click on the link to inquire about purchasing what’s caught my eye. If you know anything about Tuckernuck you know the pieces are great quality and style but also a bit on the pricey side. How could I achieve the look for less?

Here’s the Hack that Works

I know, I KNOW. At least one of you will say go to the thrift store – and you can. That will take time and if you have it then good for you! You can also shop your closet – which btw I did last week to re-create looks that inspired me. But if you want immediate results, you can try one of two things.

Open your Amazon app. Don’t have Amazon? No problem, I have another idea for you so hold tight! Anyway, my fellow Amazon members, near the right hand side of the search bar click on the camera icon.

Once the camera opens you can either snap a picture of what you’d like to find or upload a photo. Then you can zero in on the item you want to find. Within seconds, Amazon pulls together a list of options! Voila! Tuckernuck vibes at a much more affordable price!

Based on the options Amazon provided, I ordered two jackets. I figured I could compare the two and decide between them or go back to the drawing board and try a few more. I already had jeans I would wear, the jacket was what I fell in love with.

No Amazon, No Problem

Maybe you don’t have an Amazon account or maybe you just don’t like shopping Amazon at all. No problem. Meet ChatGPT, your new bestie! I opened ChatGPT and uploaded the photo and added “I want an affordable jacket like this” – and within seconds, a list was generated with links.

My Look for Less

Overall I think Amazon worked better for this particular look. The jackets ChatGPT shared were a little shorter than the inspo photo but it was still a good experience. Here’s how my look for less turned out!

This one was not an Amazon find but a closet find! Remember when I shared OGL? Well, this is the blazer. You know what? I love it this way! The lesson here: don’t make the mistake of thinking blazers are only for work or are too dressy for every day. You’ll miss out!
