Friday Favorites May 2nd

Thanks for stopping in to check out my Friday Favorites for May 2nd! Today kicks off graduation weekend and with it loads of activities! In case you’re new here our younger son is graduating on Sunday night with his Master’s Degree from the University of Florida. This is very exciting for us because our older son graduated from UF in 2020 and the ceremony was virtual. In 2022 when it was our younger son’s graduation with his bachelor’s degree – well, he overslept and missed the ceremony (read about that here). So we will FINALLY get to see one of our children graduate from college!

How We’re Celebrating

Tonight we are having a party to celebrate Collin’s graduation. I am looking forward to having fun and spending time with our family and closest friends.

Sunday night is the graduation ceremony. We have had non-stop laughs over the fact that the ceremony is at 7pm and there is no way Collin will miss it – his bachelor’s ceremony was at 9am. Needless to say he is not a morning person – ha!!! Prior to the ceremony we are hosting a late lunch/ early dinner in Gainesville for our family.

The best part of the weekend is that our older son, Nolan, and his girlfriend Emma will be here. They fly in from Philly this morning! Nothing brings me more joy than having us all together.

We are very proud of our graduate – he is graduating at the top of his class! He was awarded this just last week. He has worked so hard over the years and has always wanted to be an architect. We had a little desk set up for him in our family room where he was constantly drawing. If he wasn’t drawing he was building train tracks that went all over our house.

I miss those days so much! Having two little preschoolers at home with me was the best! The time goes by so quickly.

Favorite Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Since Mother’s Day is next weekend I wanted to share just a few things that I own that would make great gifts. I have really enjoyed my Sonicsmooth Dermaplaning tool. I just purchased refills for it. This device eliminates the need for a spa visit! It removes the peach fuzz from your face and exfoliates dead skin. My skin always looks so much better when I use this. It’s recommended to use once a week. Well worth the price.

These pretty pajamas would make an excellent gift too. They are soft and silky feeling and come in so many prints. Although they are not pricey they sure look it! I am wearing a medium.

To be very honest, I never love wearing a swimsuit. But this pretty suit and skirt make me want to sit by the pool or head to the beach. Check it out here.

Jewelry makes a great gift for Mother’s Day. I swear by Melinda Maria. These pieces are 18k gold plated and feature simulated diamonds. I have been wearing this jewelry non-stop and nothing tarnishes or dulls. Even better? I get compliments all the time. The simulated diamonds look like the real thing. Use my code KELLYANN10 to save 10% – you cannot go wrong!

I am wearing the She’s an Icon Double Hoop Earrings, Not Your Basic Tennis Choker, Julian Loves Diamonds 18″ Necklace, and Lavish Lariat Necklace

I think I have mentioned how much I love my new shoes from Aerosoles. Grab them when they are on sale (which seems to be often). They are so cute and comfortable. I wore them last Saturday to a sorority alumni event. Also if it looks like my legs are glowing it’s because they are. I have been playing around with different body make up and I used this one. I plan to share my thoughts on different brands soon.

Must Watch

If you were ever a fan of What Not To Wear with Stacy London and Clinton Kelly then you are going to love their new show! I watched the entire season in 2 1/2 days. I could not tear myself away. You’ll find it on Prime.

That’s a wrap for this week. I cannot wait to share photos with you next week about how things went for us with graduation. You can always follow along with me on Instagram. I post on stories just about every day so it’s a great way to keep up with my exciting life- ha!!! Not really but I do share lots of thoughts there so if you enjoy my mental health posts you’d probably like my stories!

I wish for you a wonderful weekend my friends. I hope it is filled with the kinds of things that nurture you and feed your soul. The simplest things can often bring us the most joy so I hope you’ll remember that. Stop and look around, I bet there’s a reason to smile right in front of you!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I appreciate you being here. Please consider signing up to receive my posts by email and following me on Instagram and Pinterest.
