I’m taking a walk down memory lane with that title friends, how many of you remember the song, “Goodbye to You” by Scandal? Fact – I loved Scandal and have two of their songs on my playlist.
And while I continue to date myself, I ‘d be remiss if I didn’t mention the Challenger disaster. This week was the 35th anniversary of that tragic event. Most of us remember where we were that day, I was a senior in high school. I remember standing in the school parking lot and watching it happen. Devastating. Do you remember where you were that day?

Let’s look ahead now on a more positive note and get to the good stuff…
Favorite #1 All of YOU!
Y’all are my favorite for sure! Thank you for your support on Monday’s post about my plans to start a private practice. If you missed it, you can catch up here. My heart is full, friends and I am humbled by your kindness.
Favorite #2 Purse and Strap
When I purchased my purse strap months ago I swore I’d NEVER buy the vegan leather messenger bag to attach it to. After all I had a perfectly good bag to use it with. And I did. However, I quickly realized how much I loved using the strap and that my bag was a little on the small size. Again I looked at THE BAG and again I said NO. I bought another one at TJ Maxx and patted myself on the back for a good find.
I’m not really certain what happened but the bag just wasn’t doing it for me any longer. So, I ordered the bag and guess what? I love it. The lesson for me is that sometimes it’s worth it to get what I really want rather than buy substitutes. This has happened to me before and usually ends up with me spending more in the long run than if I had just gotten the “one” in the first place!

Great news, right now Social Threads has a bundle (the camo messenger bag + strap) for $99! You can get that here.
Favorite #3 Bingo is in session!
We returned to our Monday night bingo at my favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant. It looks a little different than it did pre COVID but it’s still good to be back. While we didn’t win, we felt like we won a whole lot just being there.
Favorite #4 The Ordinary Skincare
When I finally got the chance to move back into our bathroom, after the seemingly never ending remodel ended, I got rid of a lot of old beauty products. I came to the realization that I’ve tried so many products ranging in price and very few were actually products I continue to repurchase. I also felt compelled to streamline my skincare routine and figure out what to use when.
I have mentioned The Ordinary products before and I was intrigued by the price and positive reviews of the line. So I turned to YouTube and started looking for mature ladies who use the products. I found this influencer and felt like her regime was one I could get behind. I’ve been following the routine for a few weeks now and I am very happy with it. Have you tried these products yet?
Favorite #5 New Blogger
Ask anyone who blogs and they’ll tell you the best part of this adventure is the people you meet. Well, today I want to share a new favorite Abby Kate is the brains and beauty behind That’s Life for Ya. I am so impressed with this young lady and you will be too. Get this – Abby is in 8th grade! Yes, 8th grade. You’d never know that by reading her writing – she is mature and composed. She’s the one to watch friends, this girl is going places!

That wraps it up for this week friends. My hope for you is that you are well and looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Whatever your plans may be I hope you can find a reason to smile and find joy. We don’t get these days back and happiness is in fact an inside job!
See ya soon!
