Just like that it’s Friday again! How was your week? Mine turned out to be a 2 day work week thanks to losing my voice on Tuesday. The crazy, cold weather has meant we’ve had the heat on non-stop and I believe that may have been a contributing factor. In any case, I’m glad to be sharing another edition of Friday Favorites! Today I am sharing some fun, affordable finds.
Fun and Affordable Finds
First up in my fun and affordable finds: red sneakers! These have been on my radar for some time. I kept debating. I’d actually purchased this pair from Nordstrom. But they turned out to be not quite right for me. They weren’t as comfortable as I’d like them to be so back they went. I decided to give these a try. I’m glad I did. The price point is better and they are much more comfortable. Since these are on the trendy side I am not willing to pay too high a price. They run TTS by the way!
The next fun and affordable find is this red dress! What a winner! Free Assembly is one of my favorite brands at Walmart. The pieces are well made and this dress is no exception. The smocked waist is such a nice detail and the v-neck is flattering. It also comes in black but I could hardly resist the red! It’s currently under $18! I am wearing it in a size small.
Perfect with the red sneakers and a denim jacket. But it also dresses up nicely. I can see this being a great dress through spring and summer too. Perhaps even a contender for 4th of July!
You’ve seen this next affordable find already. But with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, this button up with red lips is one I am going to wear more often. I like that the lips are subtle so without a doubt I am not going to stop wearing it once V-day is over! I layered it with a red cardigan (old from Old Navy).
These jeans are my final, fun and affordable find for this Friday! Now listen, I know, they are not $25 and you may be thinking they are not affordable at all – but TRUST me. These feel like premium denim, they are ‘of the moment’ and even better yet they are made with a new technology that makes them the kind of jeans you can wear all year long. Considering all of that they are in fact affordable. Also? Remember what I said yesterday about some things being worth spending a tad more? Yep, this is one of those times.
I had shared this pair from Walmart (below) some time ago. I was craving a cuffed pair of straight leg denim. There was just something about the Walmart pair that wasn’t right on me. I’ve tried a few other pair and then ordered these. Well…they’re fabulous! They arrived Wednesday and I wore them Wednesday to an appointment with my husband.
The Walmart pair was good, don’t think otherwise. In fact they sell out and get re-stocked regularly. So if they are of interest to you sign up to be notified by email when they are back in stock.
