This Friday finds me anxious for Monday as we have been promised that cooler weather is on it’s way! Now by cooler weather of course I mean a high of 83 but considering where I live I’ll take it. Trust me when I say that there will be people pulling out all the fall clothes especially since Monday morning the temps will start out in the high 60’s! I may just turn my seat warmer on while I drive to the gym! Ha!
Favorite #1 this week – our family photos! It’s been a sweet forever since we’ve had a photographer take our family photos and we were overdue. I am so happy with how they turned out. It was a little tricky trying to coordinate outfits since the boys weren’t coming home until Friday night and our pictures were scheduled for bright and early Saturday morning!
Favorite #2 this week comes in the form of a fabulous fall cocktail! My friend Amy shared the recipe last week and I just had to make it Friday afternoon. And then again on Saturday afternoon. And then I wanted it again on Sunday and Monday but I pumped the brakes and refrained. No worries it’s on my to do list this weekend! It is soooooo good! It’s called Apple Cider Sangria and it tastes like fall in a cup! I snapped this photo and sent it to her Friday afternoon! The funny part is that she had just had one herself so it was like having a drink together!
Favorite #3 As I have gotten older I am more serious about skin care but when it comes to eye creams I am a bit of a skeptic. Unless it involves a needle I am doubtful that anything will really make a difference, ya know? Well I stand corrected now. This Active Hydration Eye Brightening Cream from Rodan and Fields has actually made quite the difference to my under eye area. The dark circles under my eyes are much lighter! Dare I say they are almost non-existent? When I had my make up done a few weeks ago the make up artist commented on how lucky I was that I didn’t have under eye darkness. Say what? Seriously that NEVER happens to me. Wanna try it yourself? You can reach out to my bestie Lisa and she will hook you up!
Favorite #4 When the boys come home it gives me a chance to cook up a storm and last weekend was no exception. I baked another cake and then made a big breakfast on Sunday. I had a loaf of french bread I knew we’d never eat so I found a terrific recipe on Pinterest for The Pioneer Woman’s Baked French Toast. It was delicious!
Favorite #5 Each season something catches my eye and I just have to have it . This fall one of the items was a plaid blazer. I considered several options (ask the girls from #NashBash) but finally decided on this one from Target. Not only was the price spot on but it is lined and the quality far exceeds the price! I ordered a size 6 and it fits perfectly!
Here are some others:
I’m hoping to snap some photos of mine this weekend to share next week. Other items I am currently coveting? I’d love a pair of leopard booties and a pair of white ones. They must be comfortable and they must be affordable – that’s the challenge. I’ll keep you posted!
I wish y’all a great weekend. We will spend as much time as possible with my dad. Don’t forget to link up your favorite posts for the week with The Blended Blog.
