Happy Monday friends! Today I am sharing a favorite color combo with you that seems to tap into the preppy side of my personality. Navy blue and green work so well together and look crisp and clean. Do you like the combo?
The shirt is new c/o Chico’s and it’s from the No-Iron line. I swear I am planning to replace all of my shirts with these. I simply cannot get enough of how easy they are to wear, wash, and repeat – completely skipping the iron part that normally goes along with a nice shirt.
Another thing I cannot get enough of is the white trim on the collar and sleeves. I cuffed the sleeves and of course the white is such a nice contrast. The slits on the sides are a nice touch too making it very easy to wear untucked. In fact, I believe untucked is how these shirts are meant to be worn. Chico’s attention to detail and knowledge of a woman’s body is evident in features like the extra room around the bottom portion of the shirt. So many shirts are straight through the body and that is not how we are made!
Originally I planned to wear this shirt with white pants – and I will – but I have been on a green binge lately! These green pants are years old. Like many years but they are still so good I can’t bear to part with them.
Vibrant, saturated colors like these look best with nude shoes in my opinion. So out came my most elegant shoes of all – my Sarah Flint Perfect Sandals. Remember to use my code SARAHFLINT -BAKELLYANN to get $50.00 off your first pair! My earrings are c/o Chico’s too – I love the pearl accents. My bracelets are all old – enamel bracelets are a favorite of mine so I grab them whenever I see them in any color.
One last thought to make you smile…
Just three feet away from where we were taking these photos our neighbors were digging in their yard. Of course they had to stop and watch us take these photos – so awkward! I’ve told them before I have a blog but they still look at me like I am NUTS. I laughingly refer to myself as the ‘neighborhood narcissist’ because I wonder what those who drive by are thinking. Needless to say we are very fast when it comes to photo taking and why I have the Same. Poses. Every. Time.
