Wear Now, Wear Later

When I chose items from the Nordstrom sale I wanted to be sure I could wear them year round. It just doesn’t get cold enough here to invest heavily in cold weather wear; instead it makes more sense to be able to wear things now and later when it eventually cools off.

The green wrap top I purchased is going to work for me regardless of the season.  I wanted to share how I am planning to accomplish that task! It may be because of my beloved sorority Kappa Delta but I love green and white together.  So first up is a casual look with white shorts (similar and on sale) and my fun new Jambu shoes! I think the neckline of this blouse is just screaming to be paired with my gold necklace (option)!

The next look would be more work appropriate.  Here I am wearing new to me white Editor pants from Express (similar).  Just last week I completed my first ever purchase from Poshmark.  These pants were $5 (I did pay $6 for shipping).  The funny thing is I used to own pants just like this but I got rid of them a few years ago.  I recently decided I wanted white dress pants and I remembered how much I loved the fit of Express dress pants.

When the weather eventually cools off I’ll wear denim with this top.  Booties (option)will be my shoe of choice.  So far I have found that Toms booties are most comfortable on my feet.

So if you are thinking of purchasing this top I hope I was able to give you a little outfit inspiration.  One of the reasons I was drawn to it is the cut – I think a wrap style top is so flattering on every shape.  Because it’s a little longer it will also look terrific with leggings.  So versatile and easy to style!

Now onto the other piece I really loved from my order.  The Zella print leggings.  Right now I am planning to wear them with my white twist tee (similar). This leggings will never see the inside of the gym, lol, I am planning to wear them out for a cool, athleisure look.  Oh how I wish I had them in San Francisco! After we snapped these pictures I kept this outfit on and wore it out to dinner to Shake Shack.  I felt very comfortable in this – not just comfort wise but being dressed-wise, ya know?  It felt pulled together and not like I was just hanging around the house and we decided to get a bite to eat.

I am on the lookout for a fleece tee or tunic to wear with them in cooler weather.  My only stipulation is that it must be affordable.  I refuse to pay $50 for one. This one might work but I wanted pink!

Have you shopped the sale yet?  Anything in particular catch your eye? Thanks for stopping by and paying me a visit – I appreciate it!
