Just in time for the holidays, the Willa Loafer by Vionic has arrived in beautiful velvet. I’m sharing my honest review today. Please note that Vionic did gift me these shoes and I while I am partnering with them as a paid collaborator on social media, I was not asked to write a blog post. But I thought you all might just like to see what the Willa has to offer.

Review of the Willa Loafer by Vionic
So when I was offered the opportunity to work with my dream brand, Vionic, I was over the moon thrilled. A few years back – 6 years I believe – when I first started this blog, Vionic was the only brand of shoe I could wear. I remember at the time wishing I could work with them an thinking that would never happen. #nevergiveup
Fast forward to earlier this year when I was talking about my love of the brand on IG and they reached out to me. They sent me 3 pair of shoes! Heaven! Then they asked if I’d like to review some shoes for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Yes, please! Finally I was offered a paid gig and my heart skipped a beat.
But then…I found out the shoe they were sending me. I did not get to pick. Honestly, at first, I was not happy. I’m a heels girl through and through and something this flat? What in the world would I do with it? How would I style it? Was it frumpy?
The Willa Loafer Arrived
Vionic sent me two pair of the Willa Loafer – black and cobalt blue. My initial impressions upon opening the boxes was – wow!! The shoe feels much more substantial in person than it appears online. With all Vionic shoes you can feel the quality and the same can be said about Willa. I was not expecting to find the embroidery detail at the heel. At first, I was a little stunned and thought that might interfere with my styling plans. However, I could not have been more wrong.

Willa Loafer Details
How Vionic describes Willa: This elegant flat-style loafer leads the way from office to cocktails. Almond-toe style, luxe material, serious support. Love! I should mention that Willa is available in 13 colorways – including a printed calf hair, leather, and of course velvet.
Willa is available in sizes 5-11 and comes in both medium and wide widths. The heel height is just 0.57″, the footbed is removable and the lining is cushiony soft! The outsole is durable rubber and you will not slip and slide in these. I find them to run TTS and I am wearing my true size 9.
There’s a reason Vionic shoes for women are recommended by podiatrists. They offer excellent support and are especially good if you suffer from Plantar’s Fasciitis. That’s thanks to the Vio-motion Technology that includes stability, all day support, and cushioning.
Styling Willa
Since holiday season has arrived, I’m styling Willa with those special occasions in mind. Faux leather, satin, velvet – all the textures are just so perfect for holiday dressing!

Luckily we have a good friend who was traveling this Fall – his home is ready for Christmas when he returns in December! I could not help wearing bright pink pants along with my cobalt blue blazer. It’s an unexpected color combination for the holidays but it’s fun nonetheless.

Final Thoughts
Although the Willa loafer is not necessarily one I would have chosen for myself, I am glad I am now the proud owner of two pair. Willa is comfortable and stylish – I really loved the look with my black skinny pants and leggings. I think the black velvet will be so pretty worn on Christmas morning with my plaid pjs!
The cobalt blue is simply gorgeous -definitely a statement maker! I was surprised at how much of this shade of blue I have seen lately so that made these even easier to style.
Without hesitation I recommend the Willa loafer by Vionic. It’s a classic, timeless style with beautiful detailing – whether it’s the embroidery or the calf hair. It’s been far too long that mature women have had to sacrifice style for comfort. I am thrilled that we no longer have to!
I realize that these shoes may be on the pricey side for some, you can score some great deals by shopping Vionics at QVC. They’re also available at DSW (they have a coupon for 25% off) and Dillards too!
Thanks for visiting today! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Veteran’s Day!
