Welcome to the last Thursday Fashion Files of 2025! Jill & I will be taking the next two Thursdays off and will return in 2026. Speaking of Jill & I, we got together in real life last week when she was visiting Orlando!
Today, I am sharing a few new pieces that were sent to me by JJill from their winter collection. JJill is all about classic meets comfort and the winter collection makes that abundantly clear. My favorite piece is the sweater blazer. You know I love a blazer. This one has the structured look of a blazer combined with the comfort of a cardigan.
I am a HUGE fan of these high rise wide leg jeans too. I chose light bamboo but they are also available in a light denim and dark denim wash. The leg isn’t too wide and they fit well through the hip. With just enough stretch to be comfortable but not so much that they get saggy, they’re winners! They come in tall and petite as well.
Winter is all about layers and this tipped v-neck is such a good one! I love layering with white tanks or tees – like I did below. The contrasting stitch makes it such a stand out piece. It also comes in tall and petite sizing as well as two other colors.
Is there anything better than a scarf? Yes, there is. A reversible scarf! It gives the versatility of two scarves but it’s only one piece. I am determined to play with this one and wear it lots of ways.
JJill is a great retailer for mid life women, their clothing is thoughtfully designed – fabrics that aren’t too hot, stretch where we need it, and cuts that feel effortless (no shapewear required). I used to think it was a frumpy retailer but my mind has changed and I think their styles have too.
You might remember how I swooned over this convertible blazer and finally bought it. Now it’s on major sale so you can grab it too! It has stretch but holds its shape. The colors are classic and so is the plaid. I think it is a timeless piece you’ll wear forever!
