Mother’s Day will be here before you know it so today I thought I’d share a few gift ideas with you. If this is something you celebrate then you know the real meaning behind this special day. For me it’s a day that I thank my lucky stars that God chose me to be the mother of my two sons. Motherhood evades many and that fact is not lost on me; I also like to reflect on those who have ‘mothered’ me over the years as well as my own sweet mom. While the day is filled with lots of love and happy thoughts for most, having suddenly lost my niece almost 18 months ago, I am also painfully aware of those dealing with grief. Whether you’ve lost a child or your mother – or you are dealing with any kind of loss, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. You matter and so do your feelings.

Anyway, let’s move on to a lighter topic, shall we?
Typically I use this holiday as an excuse to splurge on or get something I’ve had my eye on but wouldn’t normally buy just because. I purchase small gifts for the women in my family – nothing too expensive and since my love language is quality time I try to find gifts that incorporate it. Although if I am aware of something my mom needs or would like I don’t mind spoiling her!
Splurge Worthy Gifts for the Home
I am a firm believer in not getting a gift that has anything to do with housework. However, I have conditions. The first is that no one better buy me an appliance unless I have specifically asked for it! Like my Dyson Cordless Stick Vacuum . Honestly, I never thought I’d get this excited about a vacuum but after owning this for a year I can tell you that each time I use it I am thrilled we bought it! I love how strong and powerful it is – Dyson has mastered the technology of suction. The other thing I love about it is how easily the attachments work. I’ve had vacuums with all kinds of attachments but none have been this easy to use. This is a total game changer for me!
Have you heard about the Always Pan? It’s been on so many blogs lately and perhaps it is starting to wear me down because now I seem to want one! This pan does everything (8 in 1)- saute, boil, steam, you name it and it does it. It also has a built in spoon rest and is non-stick. You can save $30 on the pan now during their spring sale with code GOODTASTE30. From what I’m reading they only have this one sale a year, now the pressure is on! I am going to order one for myself and the hardest part is deciding on a color! Shop here.
Accessories
Accessory Concierge has the best collection of colorful jewelry. You can save 20% off your purchase with the code Natasha20 . One of my absolute favorite influencers designed a collection for Accessory Concierge and that is her code. There are several pieces I want to add to my collection this year and these pieces are well made and worth the price!
Barrington Tote
Barrington makes such special pieces and anything with a monogram has my name all over it! Ha!!! #seewhatididthere Mother’s Day is a great time to get something you’ll cherish forever. Use the code MOMROCKS to save 15% off your order. With so many design options you can choose one that is all yours! I’d love a zippered St. Anne tote to go with my Highclere Accessory Case.
Something Meaningful
I purchased this for myself from an Etsy seller. I look at it often and it always brings a smile to my face. As a boy mom this is extra special to me! Here are some other Etsy ideas:
Other Ideas
Not all gifts need to be items you purchase. For those that seem to have it all, how about buying an experience? Ideas include a mani/pedi at either a new salon or an old favorite. Maybe a wine tasting? Possibly a cooking class that pertains to a special type of meal or genre (vegetarian? Paleo?). Cake decorating? You might find some interesting ideas on Groupon! What ideas do you have?

As always, thanks for stopping by and spending a few minutes with me – I really appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with love and relaxation and that most of all you know how much YOU MATTER!
