Time for Friday Favorites friends and it will be my last for a few weeks. Next Friday I’ll be waking up in London!! Forgive me for taking a break from not only publishing my blog but visiting yours. I am determined to unplug and enjoy my vacation. But enough of that, let’s get to it!

Another favorite also in the picture is my new nail polish. Remember when I mentioned the Scotland Collection from OPI? This new color, Class of the Tartans is very different for me – it dries in this cool, matte finish. It also dries quickly! The first time I used it I applied my favorite top coat and it dried shiny, lesson learned. I let it dry naturally and just adore it. The color is fantastic and it will definitely be coming on my trip with me!
Are you a Downton Abbey fan? Our whole family is and tonight we are going to see the movie! It is my precious mother’s birthday on Sunday and while we plan to celebrate that day she requested we all go to the movie together. I can hardly wait!
Speaking of my mother’s birthday I am baking one of her favorites, my red velvet cake! I was given this recipe 25 years ago at my bridal shower and have been making it ever since. It is scrumptious! You can see how much I’ve used this recipe over the years – a well loved recipe card indeed!
Another favorite? Seems I am not the only blogger in the family. My nephew has a sports blog! This boy has been passionate about sports since birth and has a podcast as well. I love seeing him pursue his passions and hold his own. He has had t deal with a few attacks from people who don’t agree with him and he has done so with grace. It’s a great learning experience!
