I’ll start this Friday Favorites with a huge thank you to all of you who have left kind comments and prayers for me and my family as we deal with the death of my beloved father. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to share our story. By far the best thing I did this week was to write this post on Monday morning. Writing is something I enjoy and a means for healing and I appreciate your support and heartfelt comments.
So a few weeks ago I was contacted by Tania of 50 is Not Old about participating in a Friday with Friends post. Having read Tania’s blog many times before I could hardly believe she was reaching out to me and of course I was in! So if you are visiting from Tania’s post today let me say, “Welcome gurls!” I am glad you are here. Now I hope my readers will go and say howdy to Tania as well, once you are done reading this post! Y’all are gonna love Tania and her style. One of the things I enjoy about her blog is reading about her every day life in Grundy, her tales always put a smile on my face and her sweet husband sounds like a character! Tania and Joe would be such a fun couple to hang out with and you know Tania would show up all dolled up! So yeah, working with friends and meeting new people? Well, that is ALWAYS a favorite around here!
I have a few other favorites up my sleeve for today. One of which is my 3 tier tray. I decorated it early Saturday morning for St. Patrick’s Day. With a maiden name like O’Donnell you know I am all about St. Patrick’s Day! I think it turned out so well, I was able to use things I already owned and then added a few items from the Dollar Tree! Score a great deal on this one now. It’s the one I wanted back in December but the price was almost double back then.
One of the things missing from my wardrobe was a comfortable pair of black pumps. I kissed a few toads before finding my prince in this pair. I love this brand – they have a cushioned footbed and the leather hugs my foot. i’ll be wearing them all day tomorrow as we celebrate my dad’s life! They are on sale for a great price too!
Last Saturday I wrote my post for Monday featuring my cropped flares. I have worn these several times this week and I love them more each time! Have you tried a pair yet?
I want to round out my favorites this week with a beautiful kindness shown to me by my sweet friends at The Blended Blog. I received such a beautiful bouquet of flowers on Tuesday that it literally made my heart skip a beat! Friends are friends no matter your proximity and I appreciate their care and support during this difficult time. Thank you ladies!
So this weekend I will be surrounded by friends and family celebrating the life of my father whom I miss dearly. It will be a time filled with laughter and tears I know but I hope I can walk away feeling that we honored my dad’s memory. For each of you I wish a weekend that is full of love and fun. Make this the best weekend! Before you go, don’t forget to go visit my friend Tania!
I took Wednesday off from blogging this week but next week I will resume my regular schedule. Picking up the pieces and moving on is crucial for me in my healing. I know I will grieve the loss of my father forever, thank you all for your support! Now, go make this weekend the VERY best!
