What’s Hot This Week, 1/12/24

It’s not the first Friday of the month but it sure feels that way! I’m wrapping up my first week back at work and back at blogging. I’m actually enjoying it and realize I thrive when I’m busy and in my regular routine. The work week has been busy and I am just sitting down to write this late on Thursday afternoon so…let’s get to it! Here’s What’s Hot This Week, 1/12/24.

What’s Hot This Week

After writing Friday posts for so long, I am searching for a new title and What’s Hot came to mind. Take that with a grain of salt, I’m not certain anything here is really all that hot! Ha!

One thing I don’t really like about the holidays being over is having my son return to school. I miss him so much! He left on Sunday and by early Sunday evening he was already back on campus headed to the architecture lab. My cute niece (a freshman at UF) ran into him and sent me this photo. My heart!!!

We are a family of game players! Whether it’s cards or dice we’re in! Two new games added to our collection: “New Phone, Who Dis” and Taco vs. Burrito. New Phone Who Dis is pretty racy and definitely an adult game. The Taco vs Burrito game is easy to play and very family friendly – in fact my 7 year old niece played it on Christmas night!

If you have been around here for awhile you might know how much I struggle with my thinning hair. This week I shared a thickening cream from Better Not Younger called Lift Me Up and I love it! Sometimes I am heavy handed when it comes to mousse and in fine, thin hair it can be too much leaving my hair sticky and greasy looking. This is a product that’s applied at the roots and I like the thickness it adds – especially on day 2 hair! I have only tried the one product but I am thinking I might like to try some others. You can get them just about anywhere including Ulta and from the company directly. If you would like to order directly from them you can use my code: KELLYANN10

Determined to not let photos of our Greece trip sit on my phone, I ordered an album from Shutterfly. It arrived this week and I am in LOVE. My husband balked at the price until it arrived. Also? He has no idea how much all those Creative Memories albums cost to make over the years – this process took about an hour. I want to start making one each year just for my family. I downloaded the app and plan to upload monthly highlight photos!

Anticipating the hot weather that I know is just around the corner, I ordered these shoes in cognac suede. They will work perfectly for me with denim, pants, skirts, and dresses. They are comfortable too and come in lots of colors!

Hot Weekend Sales

Cheers for a long weekend! Martin Luther King, Jr weekend means a day off and sales galore! I started shopping on Wednesday and scored a great deal on this! Normally almost $300 I grabbed it for $80.

Banana Republic Factory has become one of my favorite places to shop lately. So many great basic pieces that are classic yet on trend and the prices are fabulous! Right now everything is 50% off and cardholders get another 20% off.

Loft is practically giving things away again, shop here.

Avara has a super round up of really cute Valentine’s pieces. So many beautiful blouses, sweaters, and sweatshirts, take a look here. They also have a terrific round up of denim, I wear the pair below very often They are so comfortable, the perfect length, and I love the dark blue color. I love this pair, and this pair too! Don’t forget to use my code to save THISBLONDE15

I can’t stop looking at my left foot in the photo. I was leaning to the side so my shoe was gaping; I swear it fits!

Thanks so much sweet friends for stopping by today. You really make my day in ways you cannot imagine. I wish for each of you a weekend of rest and rejuvenation – the soul stirring kind!
