As I typed the #24 I realized in just two weeks 2018 will be half over! Isn’t that crazy? I am also realizing that in just a week we’ll be leaving for our vacation to San Francisco and I am sooooooo excited! Not only am I excited about visiting San Francisco but I’m also going to finally meet face to face with my fabulous friend Lisa and I am over the moon excited about that!
Something else exciting today is a great feature called The Good Buy/Good Bye Book that my friends Nancy and Shelbee host each month. Check it out to see what I shared this month!
Enough of that, let’s get to what’s made my list this week!
Favorite #1 I am continuing to collect all my birthday freebies and my stop at Sephora definitely was a favorite! Not only did I scoop up a fabulous birthday treat but the sales associate was so helpful while ringing up my purchase. I was trying out some new perfumes and mentioned that to her; she immediately asked if I’d like her to bottle up some samples for me. Um, yes, I’d like that very much! Now I have perfume to take on my vacation! The two that caught my eye? This one from Jo Malone and this one from Hermes. I also purchased this eyeliner because I have heard great things about it and I got these daily peel pads with my rewards points!
Favorite #2 We have a very large screened in patio/porch that overlooks our pool. For years it’s been a kid zone but now I am making it my outdoor living space and slowly sprucing it up. I have been obsessed with outdoor curtains and wanted to add some a few years ago. I pinned images like crazy but everything was way out of my price range since we’d need so many. My genius friend Melodie suggested some from Ikea! Let me tell you they have been the very best investment, and I say that tongue in cheek because they are a whopping $4.99 per PAIR! These are the curtains (not an affiliate link btw). I have had mine up for 2 years and too many storms and a hurricane to count and they have held up so well. I am finally replacing them due to dry rot. But seriously? They are amazing and the price is unbelievable!
Favorite #3 Last week I mentioned the dessert I made on my birthday and what a disappointment it was. The recipe worked fine it just didn’t live up to my expectations. That called for a do-over and since I love to bake I baked up my second choice and it was soooooooo good! I love almond anything and this was fabulous! This almond sheet cake was easy and delicious!
Favorite #4 well this should come as no surprise since I’ve worn it non-stop since I got it last Thursday night! My new Kendra Scott Rayne necklace in hot pink. I’ve wanted this for a few years and I was thrilled to finally get it! It’s a beauty!
Favorite #5 Of course this too should come as no surprise but my new Old Navy shorts have been so much fun to style! Did you see them here and here? I love how versatile they are and the fit is good too – not too short and not too long. #thegoldilocksofshorts
We have another busy weekend on tap; tonight we have an engagement party and tomorrow night a birthday party. Sunday is Father’s Day and then next week we leave for vacation! I am hoping to squeeze in a little time this weekend to figure out what I am packing in my CARRY ON bag, can I do it? I certainly hope so!
Have a fabulous weekend my friends!
