April is just flying by my friends and before you know it May will be here! Have you even begun to think about Mother’s Day yet? I have been toying around with a few ideas of gifts to buy for special moms in my life. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take a look at what made my favorites list this week!
Favorite #1 for me this week is my new pink, striped and ruffled top I posted about here. It has all the elements of a great warm weather top – ruffles, vertical stripes, one shoulder, and it’s pink! Oh and the price is to die for good!
Favorite #2 I bought a new pair of my favorite wedges in the color Natural. Oh Em Gee #yesiamtwelve they are fabulous! The reason I bought this pair was because the first pair has more pink (they’re actually called light melon) and I wanted to have more options. These shoes have a high platform but they work on my finicky feet, I could literally wear them all day. I am so excited about these – they have a bit of gold in them too – so pretty for Summer!
Favorite #3 Of course as this month is flying by so is my son’s final year of high school. Last week we had Senior Night at Volleyball. He had some friends show up to cheer the team on (they lost). His friends really are a favorite too – they’re great kids most of whom we’ve known since preschool.
You know I had to wear my new favorite jacket. I’ve worn it so many times since getting it but it just makes everything better!
See what I mean? Precious children! The boy on the end in the baseball cap will be Collin’s roommate next year at UF. From Cub Scouts to college – we’re so excited about their next adventure!
Favorite #4 As the weather gets warmer there’s a lot more attention being paid to our diet and fitness goals. I know I have some new readers so I thought this was worth sharing. There are a lot of programs that cost a pretty penny but before you invest a lot of money I wanted to share a program I use quite frequently. It works, the nutrition is easy and the work outs are fast and easy. I’m talking no more than 20 minutes and you can do them from home! The program is completely FREE! Check it out here. This is not an affiliate link – I am not making a penny if you click the link I’m just sharing a great resource that I use myself. If I can’t make it to the gym I do one of these work outs. I highly recommend you do the 15 day challenge – you’ll be hooked. I did this multiple times in 2016 and lost a good amount of weight. Now I use the work outs and when I want to drop a few pounds I do the 15 day challenge. I always feel better! I’m happy to answer any questions. Good stuff!
Favorite #5 Well it can’t be a Friday Favorites without some mention of food now can it? I love to cook and I love to bake but most of all I love to eat! Ha! And that’s the reason I have a #4 like a do – I have to workout and eat right to keep myself in check. I’m always on the look out for a yummy new recipe and last week I found this one for asparagus soup on my friend Paula’s blog Dimples on My What? Okay, just the name of her blog ought to tell you something about her – she is hilarious so definitely stop by. But the soup is beyond delicious!
So that’s my 5 for this week! This weekend we have a final volleyball game and a friend’s senior choral performance to attend so it should be a busy weekend. I am hoping to find time for a movie on Sunday afternoon too. Do you have plans? I wish you the best this weekend and always. From the bottom of my heart I thank you for stopping by and please sign up to follow me by email if you haven’t already.
Make this weekend a marvelous one friends!
