The last picture I’d ever take with my dad. He died 12 days later.
Although it’s often said on these posts, we made it to Friday and I’m happy to wake up to this new day. Yesterday was my sweet dad’s birthday. His first heavenly birthday. He died last February, on the 17th. I never knew heartbreak before then. With February being both his birthday and the anniversary of his death, I have had mixed emotions about this month. However, I know that the only way to combat sadness is happiness, joy, and hope. So, that’s what I am focusing on and counting my blessings along the way. So let’s kick off this Friday Favorites, shall we?

Over the weekend I finally got my Valentine’s decor out and it reminded me of how much decorating for holidays, even silly, Hallmark holidays is a favorite! I am still completely obsessed with my sign!
My tiered tray brings me joy each time I am in the kitchen. Last year I bought trinkets to keep and reuse so I’ve added nothing new this year.
I have been shopping like crazy all things Amazon lately but I promise that is coming to a screeching halt! My apologies if you’re tired of me sharing my love for these colorful bracelets but they are too good to pass up and the price point is beyond amazing. I have trouble sleeping through the night often. Especially on weekends. I think my body is so used to getting up early all week long. Anyway, if I toss and turn too much I get up and either read or hop online. Somehow in the wee hours of the morning I have clarity on what I need for Spring – hahahaha!! This weekend we’re headed to Gainesville for our younger son’s volleyball tournament. He plays on a club team at UF and they travel quite a bit. We’re happy to get to go watch the team. Our son spends so many hours in the architecture studio and any remaining time at volleyball. I’m grateful he enjoys it so much!
