Busy Weekend Wrap Up!

Mondays always come too quickly for my liking but I had a great weekend and hope you did too. The weekend was filled with fun, food, and friends! Have a look!

Friday, May 14

Went to my early morning boot camp and then came home and got ready for my mom’s post op appointment with her hand surgeon. She’s healing well (despite what she thinks) and returned home. This is what I wore:

After work my husband and I headed out for Mexican. We were so happy to sit outside and enjoy the weather. I had ceviche (it’s soooooo good) and a huge margarita. Because we really know how to live it up on a Friday night, we ran errands that took us to Target, Ulta, and Macy’s.

I got a selfie in Macy’s so I could share what I was wearing. The dress is old and from TJ Maxx but I added my woven belt and really prefer it that way.

I had special plans with my sweet 5 year old niece today. We were headed to our local children’s theatre to see Humpty Dumpty with my friend and her kids. I just love going to shows like this, it’s totally kid friendly and just the perfect length.

Afterwards we played at my neighborhood park. The weather was perfect and these kids did not stop!

Our friends came over for dinner and Farkle. We tried a new Mediterranean restaurant. I ordered the Falafel platter. It was okay and I’m sad to say I don’t think this place will make it. Some things were kind of strange, like why did my salad have cheddar cheese, black beans, and corn in it? It was more Mexican than Mediterranean! So weird.

Sunday, May 16

Laundry, blogging, and a run to my favorite paint store, Rustic Journeys. I have some projects lined up for the summer and can hardly wait!

I spent the rest of the afternoon painting my dining room table. You might remember I painted it almost 2 years ago. But I decided the paint was too white. I found the best color and love the way it turned out. I’ll paint the rest of the pieces in my dining room this week. What do you think?

That wraps it up, it was a busy weekend but in all the best ways. Tonight I am hosting my 2nd Mental Health Monday on Instagram at 7pm EST. I’ll be talking about the effects of the Covid pandemic on adolescents. I’d love for you to join me. Be sure to let me know if you have any suggestions for topics you’d like me to cover, as a licensed mental health counselor for 24 years, I have a vast knowledge base to draw from.

Make this Monday marvelous friends!
