Last week I mentioned how in an attempt to get a less expensive dupe I often waste money and come to the realization I should have made the investment up front. I am learning that quality over quantity is the way to go and while I think I’m saving money, I end up spending more in the ling run. Who needs that? Not me.
You’ll notice these photos had to be taken inside; it was dark, cold, and dreary so we figured why not? The lighting isn’t good and I’m sorry about that!
Case in point, this shirt from Chico’s, gosh I love the quality of Chico’s clothing and I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about the non iron shirt. When I bought my hot pink pants I imagined styling them with a crisp, white shirt, and my Sarah Flint nude sandals.
These pants are still on major sale – they are an extra 50% off the sale price. They come in 6 other colors, have a side zip, and run TTS. I am wearing a size 4.
A white shirt is most certainly a wardrobe staple and I own a few. But when I tried them with these pants I did not get the look I was going for; the shirt was the problem. So I jumped at the chance to try one on and when we were in Nashville I visited Chico’s.
To my surprise the shirt was on sale for $29, such a deal. While they didn’t have my size in store I was able to order one and have it shipped for free to my home. When it arrived I was more than pleased. It was a wrinkled mess when it arrived but once I hung it up the wrinkles fell away within the hour.
Not only is the no-iron feature fabulous but the fit is spot on. Chico’s has special sizing, I am wearing the shirt in a 0. I plan on buying more! Good news, the shirt is on sale and there is a longer, tunic length option.
I added the silk scarf as an after thought. I’ve wanted to be wear one forever and seem to struggle with getting it just right. It’s a work in progress and since our initial plan was to head outside for photos I thought it would add a little warmth. For fun, I want to share a previous photo with you. This one made me realize I needed a new white shirt.
