Some say that May is busier than December when it comes to celebrations. I have to agree – with Mother’s Day, graduations, Memorial Day, end of the school year celebrations – you name it, May is a busy one. You may be wondering what to wear for all of these celebrations, so this one’s for you!

My friend Ada, celebrated her birthday yesterday and invited some of her blogging buds to participate. I love that Ada does this, it’s such a fun way to include friends who live near and far!

I wore this pretty, bright pink dress from JCrew. It was given to me by a friend and I have since worn it to a wedding. It’s just so special!
Then of course, there’s my son’s graduation. I wore this black slip dress from Target. Right now it’s 30% off making it a total steal. I have it in green too – it’s a terrific dress that I highly recommend!

Then there’s this dress! Another one from Target. Perfect for so many occasions, you could dress it up or down with a quick change of accessories.

Not all celebrations call for dresses – honestly, in my opinion, you should wear what you feel best in. A romper or jumpsuit is a great option. I’ve had this romper (similar) for almost 3 years and it’s still a favorite. I believe because I purchased it in black, it’s been able to stand the test of time. I’ve worn it to a graduation party and it was perfect for the occasion.

A jumpsuit (option) is a great choice if you would like more coverage. I have a basic black jumpsuit that will always have a place in my closet. Last Fall I purchased this bright green from an online boutique. It’s lightweight and perfect for warmer weather. I love the versatility of these pieces (the romper and the jumpsuit) because they can so easily be dressed up or down depending on your needs.
