Getting To Know Yourself
An early thing you need to do here is to actually get to know yourself as well as possible first, as otherwise you are probably going to struggle to include your personality in your fashion in a very effective way. There are a lot of ways in which you can get to know yourself better, but mostly it is just all about thinking deeply about who you really are. If you can do that, you are going to automatically and instinctively include your personality much more in your fashion sense.
Another way to get to know yourself better is to ask the people around you what they think of you, what you are like and so on. You might be surprised by some of the answers you receive, but the fact is that you are going to be able to use this as valuable information in order to get to know yourself more and more. With this, you should be able to include what you discover into your fashion in some interesting and unusual ways, and the more creatively you do this, the better.
Figure Out Your Style
Most of us have a style that we tend to go towards without thinking about it too much, and if that is true of you then you should aim to get as close to this as possible too. By doing that, you know what you are working with, and you can start to work with it more consciously, which will in turn mean that you are going to end up having a much more unique style over time. It also means you can find opportunities in your style to try and include more of your own personality and more of your past in some interesting ways.
Being Creative
As we have alluded to already, you need to try and be creative if you are going to make your fashion sense unique. The ability to be creative is something that is always going to make an enormous difference to how you end up looking, and it’s the kind of thing that you can always work on, even if you don’t feel as though you are very creative to begin with. Just aim to think outside the box a little, and see if you can come up with some original ideas for your look. You should find that this makes a huge difference in the long run to your overall style.
Think About The Situation
Of course, you are not going to wear the same thing on every occasion, and if you really want to express yourself well in your fashion sense you also need to think about the situations that you are going into, in particular some of the most important situations in your life because they happen so regularly. One example is the workplace, where you probably spend a good deal of your time. As long as you are happy with how you look in the workplace, you are probably getting a lot closer to your ideal fashion sense, particularly taking on board your real personality and so on.
When you are doing that, make sure that you are trying to find the right marriage between your personality and the environment you are working in. It is in the relationship between those two things that you can ultimately find something original, and which is going to help you to express yourself in the workplace in some interesting and unique ways.
Include Some Tokens From Your Past
If you want to make your fashion sense as personal as possible, one great way to do that is to include some tokens from your past in some manner or another. There are actually a number of ways you can hope to do this, and it all depends on what you have gone through in life and how you might be able to represent it in your fashion sense and your style. You might want to include something from some of the moments in your life that changed you, such as wearing jewelry for cremation ashes from someone who passed away. Or you might find some other creative way to include your past. But however you do it, this is going to make you feel and look much more unique.
Follow Some Well-Known Styles
There are some well-known personality dressing styles, and being aware of these can help you to place yourself in some way so that you can make better decisions about how to dress and what accessories to use and so on. You might find yourself falling in line with the classics look, a natural or relaxed look, the romantic look, a creative and eclectic look, dramatic and bold appearance, or the elegant chic look, or something in between a few of these. Be sure to try and figure out where you are, so that you can more effectively include and express your real personality in your dress sense and overall sense of style. If you do that, you are going to be much happier with your appearance.
As you can see, there is a lot that you might want to take on board here, so it is absolutely worth being aware of these things. As long as you are, you should be able to express your personality and your past in your fashion sense much more effectively.
