Fridays are always a welcome sight and this Friday is no different. Fresh off a birthday and one day into my next trip around the sun, I am happy for the weekend ahead. I am hoping the weather will be good and we can have dinner al fresco at one of my favorite spots. Tomorrow my friend Windy and I will head to the Millenia Mall to do our birthday shop and lunch – it’s a tradition I look forward to! But before all of that, let’s get to this week’s favorites!
I’ve shared on my Instagram Stories all the furniture painting I’ve been doing around the house. It’s been a lot of fun! My birthday present this year was this rug and that led to all kinds of updates. I had wanted a cabinet for the space and when I found one on Facebook Marketplace for $30 I could hardly wait to buy it! I painted it with my favorite Dixie Belle paint in the color peacock and added some new throw pillows from Costco. I am thrilled with the way it came together and the space is so much more welcoming.
My husband hung my deer head in my dining room and I LOVE it. Listen, I know it’s not everyone’s taste and that is fine by me – it is mine. It adds some fun and quirkiness and I smile every time I see it! I also ordered this rug for my dining room!
I painted these chairs too! I painted the fabric as well as the wood frame. They turned out so well. I used the method from this pin on Pinterest.
Last weekend my husband and I headed to Winter Garden (about 40 minutes from my house) to stroll the farmer’s market and adorable downtown area. Boutique shopping is always a favorite and this trip did not disappoint. I bought two dresses, a kimono style top and a pair of Kancan Jeans! I snapped some quick pics of the denim with the tee I wore yesterday and the new kimono style blouse. Kancan jeans are super soft and have enough stretch to be comfortable but not so much they slide down. They feel like premium denim without the premium price, have you tried them yet?
In case you are looking for new shows to binge watch, I got you! My husband and I have LOVED StartUp on Netflix (not to be confused with Start-Up also on Netflix). It’s 3 seasons and we’ve enjoyed each one. On Hulu I’ve been watching Cruel Summer. It’s not a show my husband would really like – lots of friendship drama – but very good!
Whatever you’re doing this weekend, I hope it’s something that feeds your soul and invigorates you! Make it a great one, friends!
