Black Statement Top for Spring

Spring always has me craving all the pretty pastels and bright colors. I seem to gravitate towards those rather than the darker, seemingly heavier colors of fall and winter. But black is always an option since it’s so versatile and as a neutral pairs well with all the colors.

When I attended the influencer event last week, I purchased this beautiful top. Shopping at a boutique gives you the opportunity to buy clothing not as widely available. Since I enjoy supporting small businesses, I’m willing to pay a tad more for a piece that speaks to me. Enter my new blouse! If you like the idea of a black statement blouse take a look at the ones I’ve found for you!

It’s sheer and has a sweet dot design on it. I love the puff sleeves too! I already had lots of ideas on how to style it but then I saw this photo of Shanna (Daily Dose of Style) and knew this would be the first way I’d introduce it to you!

It’s time for me to enjoy wearing my white denim because soon it will be too hot for them. White denim can be tricky – I look for denim thick enough that the pockets don’t show through and enough stretch that they don’t cling to every bump and bulge. Usually Loft and Old Navy are my go-to’s but I am wearing a pair from Royalty for Me. These were gifted to me but I’m impressed enough with the brand that I will shop them myself! In fact, this is my exact pair and they are just under $25!

Turquoise is ALWAYS a good idea and helps add a spring feeling to the dark top. I wear my turquoise ring all the time and get so many compliments. In addition to its beauty, it’s special to me as well. I’d been admiring it for some time at Kendra Scott but I wasn’t quite ready to pay full price. Imagine my delight while in Nashville on my first girls trip with my Style Six sistas and there was the ring on sale at Kendra Scott in Nashville! While my ring is no longer available, this one from Accessory Concierge is a good option. If you use code NATASHA20 you’ll save 20%. That makes it a total steal!

Most days you’ll find me wearing a Victoria Emerson boho cuff as well. I am a huge fan – they add so much to an otherwise basic outfit and they’re always on SALE! My earrings are Kendra Scott as well and pair pretty well with this necklace gifted to me years ago by my sister. No idea where she got it but I wear it ALOT. Of course I had to add my new hot pink pumps. I found these at TJMaxx after hunting and pecking all over the internet for a pair I’d like. They are a higher heel then I normally wear and don’t have any type of cushiony footbed but thanks to my Sheecsocks they are comfortable enough. Remember you can use my code (KELLYANN) to save 15% .**Please know that this is in fact and outfit I will wear out and not just something I styled for the blog – I bought these shoes knowing full well I would never wear them for an all day walking or standing event. I wore them to my niece’s birthday party and will wear them to social events for sure – they are beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by, friends! I hope your week is going well and I most certainly appreciate you taking time out to visit me here. I’ll see you back here on Friday!
