Hello Friday and hello friends! The weeks are flying by and we are well under the 2 week mark for Christmas. This begs the question, are you ready? If not, there’s still time and rest assured you’ll get it all done. And you know what? If you miss something it’s really no big deal. Life goes on! I hope you find time to enjoy the season and forget the stress. As for me and my family, well that’s another story. Tomorrow we will have my niece’s memorial/funeral service. I’ll have more on that on Monday but for now let’s keep things light, shall we?
As usual I am linking up with Narci, Andrea, and Erika for Friday Favorites!
While I’m not planning on attending many holiday festivities this year I can’t help but notice a stand out piece like this top! It’s not just a regular plaid shirt. It has sparkle woven through it and the shoulders have a pleating detail that really gives it a nice feminine touch. Plus? I love the colors! Definitely a favorite!
I have to give a shout out to my friend Paula for sharing this FABULOUS idea of wearing sequins with a flannel! Hello, outfit inspiration! Can you see this top with my sequin leggings?
I have been on the hunt for a velvet blazer. I’m not really sure why, I have no plans that involve the need for one but that hasn’t stopped me before. Maybe you’re like me, a dog with a bone when I get an idea of an item I need I literally cannot stop until I acquire said piece! This one is on its way to me and due to arrive by 12/17, I’ll keep you posted!
Last weekend we drove to Gainesville to pick up one son, our other son had a project he was working on as well as a few more finals. The Trader Joe’s in Gainesville is so much better than the one near me in Winter Park. Mainly because the parking is easier and the store is a bit larger. We stocked up on Jingle Jangle while we were there. It’s chocolate goodness that sometimes I wish I never knew about, ya know what I mean? The good news is my boys love it so hopefully they’ll eat it and I can restrain myself! Have you tried it? Definitely a favorite!
I shared two of my favorite leggings with you this week! My faux leather leggings and my sequin leggings. Both are comfortable and great to dress up or down. I mentioned in last week’s FF that I ordered the Spanx leggings. Well, they came in and I returned them. Here’s why: they are just too heavy for my climate. I see why everyone raves about them, they do suck everything in and putting them on is like wearing a compression garment. Honestly I despise shapewear so I knew if I kept them I’d be less likely to grab them unless it was super cold. So back they went and I will continue to wear my BP faux leather leggings (that’s what I’m wearing below)!

On Wednesday I received my first Stitch Fix box. It was not at all sponsored, I ordered it entirely on my own after seeing Shelly’s unboxing. I wasn’t sure what to expect but let me tell you, the stylist knocked it out of the park! I loved everything! Have you ever tried Stitch Fix? Wanna see my try-on session? You’ll find it on my Instagram – it’s saved on my highlights. Try Stitch Fix and use my code.
Well, that’s a wrap for this week! I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy the season!
