It’s time for another edition of Friday Favorites! I kicked off the week by ushering in a new decade and have continued to celebrate all week! In fact tonight I am thinking of playing the birthday card and making my husband see the movie Book Club with me! But for now let’s get going on this list of favorites.
Favorite #1 A few weeks ago I picked up this pair of Skechers (similar) and let me tell you they are everything I hoped they’d be and more! I was looking for something for vacation and I honestly do not enjoy wearing sneakers with socks. Most are too heavy and too hot. These are like a dream! I think they look pretty good with most of my clothes so they should work well when it comes to packing. I am planning on only bringing a carry on. For 5 days. I’ve never done that before. The thought scares me.#chronicoverpacker
Favorite #2 I have been the recipient of so much birthday love this week that I am beside myself. The outpouring of love has been tremendous and I feel so cared for! I’ve received packages from my blogging besties (Andrea and Lisa)that put tremendous smiles on my face and the most creative and clever card from a certain pal I have who lives across the pond (Mary). My family spoiled me too and it’s been so nice to feel so loved. I feel like birthdays are a time to tell someone how happy you are that they’re in your life. I most definitely got that message this week. Thank you!
Favorite #3 Speaking of birthday love, I have been having fun collecting all my birthday freebies! I definitely feel that Ulta, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Macy’s, Loft, Sephora, Express, and on and on are happy to have me in their lives! I collected my birthday gift from Ulta, a travel size Nars Orgasm Blush. It’s the perfect size to pack for my trip! I also received a coupon for $10 off any purchase and triple points for the month.
I picked up my free bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes too! I got Raspberry White Chocolate and picked up a Pecan Praline for my husband. So delicious!
Favorite #4 Target has an incredible sale on shorts this week – BOGO 50% off. I am in love with the two pair I picked up on Sunday. I got these in olive (size medium) and these (size 4). A great deal on great shorts. I was surprised at how much I like the pull on shorts. This style typically does not work on me but I really like this pair! I wore them with my olive tee and I loved the way it turned out. Take advantage of the sale!
Favorite #5 I love a good quote and this one really struck a chord with me this week. Of course it was a page from my You Are A Bad Ass desk calendar!
So that’s it peeps! I hope you have wonderful weekend plans. We are headed to another graduation party on Saturday night and hopefully the movies tonight. Regardless of what your plans entail I hope you make the most of every minute. Life is precious, short, and fleeting don’t let pride get the best of you – make the best of it!
Also, it’s time to shop for Father’s Day. The one thing my husband wants is something he saw in a Kohl’s ad – but guess what? I cannot find it at Kohl’s in the store nor online! Isn’t that crazy? I did find it here. What are you buying for Father’s Day?
