Happy Friday, friends! I am so happy to be ushering in another weekend. As per usual, it’s a mixed bag of faves around here. Honestly I feel like I have so much to share and these kinds of posts are a nice way to whet your whistle!

My friend Marsha is a talented and fun writer. I enjoy reading her posts but one she wrote just yesterday, really stuck out. Take a look at her post here. It’s very thought provoking, when do we, as women of a certain age, give up on our sparkle? Or our appearance? Who are we dressing for? You probably know my answer: we dress for ourselves. I may never leave my home during the day once I’ve showered but I still get dressed, fix my hair and put my make up on! It’s who I am and I do those things for me – so I can be the best version of myself.
Looking for a new show on Prime? Check out The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart. It’s just one season and only 8 episodes, I really liked it. Warning: it’s about the effects of domestic violence so proceed with caution if this topic is particularly upsetting to you.
I took advantage of the Labor Day sales last weekend and bought new sneakers, new ecru denim, and new bracelets. So far only the bracelets have arrived but I am smitten ( I bought a 14 mm and two 10 mm). I have been stalking these like it’s my J-O-B and it paid off! I also used a genius little hack to pay next to nothing for them. It’s totally legal BTW – ha!! Anyway, I often receive prepaid debit cards or even virtual ones from participating in market research. The problem using them online is that you often cannot use multiple ways to pay for something. So here’s what I did: I used them to order virtual gift cards from the retailers I wanted to shop. Because you can pay with a gift card and then use your credit or debit card for the remainder. See? Easy!
Target has landed itself on the naughty list for many and Walmart is taking full advantage of it! I swear, they have stepped up their game in so many ways. Fashion & home decor are out of this world! I will be sharing more about them next week but since things sell out quickly I wanted to share early. I am wearing a size 6. They are incredible and this color is one you will love for Fall and Winter!
