I hope you enjoyed Monday’s post. It was a pleasure to introduce you to my newest boot obsession, Stevie, from Jambu! As promised, I am back today with another way to style combat boots without looking “costumey” or like you’re trying to resurrect the grunge look of the 1990’s.
As fabulous as combat books look with pants, they are even better with dresses! I particularly like them with dresses because you can see more of the boots that way.
Combat boots may look heavy, and heck, some may be. However, these are not. At all. They are fairly lightweight and extremely comfortable. Also? They aren’t hot – I’ve seen some that are fleece lined and that would never work here in Florida.
I love having these boots as a styling option. I always love heels but I see a place for these in my wardrobe. Take this first dress for example. I knew when I saw it that my boots would be FABULOUS with it!
A skirt works too! Of course it’s too hot now for my moto jacket but once it cools off, this will be one of the first ways I wear it!
Listen, these boots may not be for everyone but my style is fairly eclectic. I don’t fit neatly into one category or another and I am having fun with these. My hope is that you’ll give yourself the freedom to try new things that you enjoy – regardless of others’ opinions. My husband is not a fan of these boots and that’s okay, I don’t love all of his clothing choices either. But that won’t stop me from wearing them myself!
Great news for you! Target has BOGO 50% off this week, here are some fabulous boot choices!
My favorite post from last week comes from Lady 50 Plus. I am dying over this blue dress. She’s styled it so beautifully and I am in love!XO,
