Linen wide leg pants are definitely on trend this season. Lightweight and loose, they are also so chic and a great alternative to wearing shorts. Having seen them on several sites and other bloggers, I really felt the pull to grab a pair. I’ll admit I am a bit smitten with wide leg pants this season but who can blame me?

Because of my body shape, I need to be careful when wearing pull on pants with an elastic waist. I am short waisted, have a tummy, and a larger chest. This style can be tricky to wear. Finding this pair from Old Navy was a huge surprise – I really like the fit. The elastic waist band is slightly wider and that does a good job of holding things in. A narrow or thinner elastic waist band tends to emphasize my tummy.

The idea of a linen pant like this is so appealing to me because I like to be as cool as possible as the weather heats up. Nothing quite compares to a linen blend and the looser leg provides the coverage without constriction. The leg seems to be the perfect width on these wide leg pants – sometimes they can be a little too voluminous. If a wide leg does not appeal to you, Old Navy has this pair that might interest you.
My no-iron shirt is an all time favorite and works with any and everything. It was one of the first pieces I packed for my trip to Nashville. Lisa let me borrow this denim jacket and I liked it so much, I ordered one for myself. The denim has the right amount of stretch, the peplum hem is the perfect size and I love the wash – it’s my Goldilocks moment with a new denim jacket!

An outfit like this can be worn practically anywhere. I call it casual chic – I say great essential pieces mixed with the right accessories is the formula for this kind of look. Are you ready to try wide leg linen pants for Spring and Summer?
I had the pleasure of being photographed by my blogging bestie Lisa while in Nashville. So big thanks to her for these photos.
