Spring Becomes Fall

Well, I don’t know about you but I find that many of the pieces of clothing I wore in Spring work in Fall. The difference is in the styling of those pieces. In Spring I’m wearing lighter colors while in Fall I’m reaching for slightly darker colors. Case in point,  my blush pants from Old Navy. I was head over heels for them in the Spring and I’m happy to report I’m still smitten.

Dressing for Fall can be a little tricky when it’s still so hot outside. To the temperature I say “take that!” and I wear my spring colored pants with a top (under $23) that says, “yeah, I go both ways” cool enough for hot weather but ready for slightly cooler temps too.

I wore this outfit to work last week and I loved it.  It was comfortable and seasonably appropriate.  My favorite wedges are still on heavy rotation. Although they may seems a little pricey I have most definitely gotten my money’s worth from them. Honestly I can wear them all day at work and my feet do not hurt.

As far as jewelry goes,my Kendra Scott necklace is perfect no matter what season or temperature. That’s another piece that seemed pricey at the time (it was a birthday gift) but has been so worth every penny.

You can bet I’m scheming other ways to wear these pants for Fall and you know I’ll be sharing them right here.

Before I go I wanted to share something fun with you that I’m going to be taking part in during the month of October. It’s called Common Threads Challenge . Basically you choose 5 pieces from your wardrobe and incorporate at least one of them into your outfit everyday during the month of October. Sarah at Foxy’s Domestic Side encouraged me to join her and hopefully we can support one another, this seems a little scary to me! The challenge was put together by a group of fabulous bloggers, are you interested in taking the challenge along with us? I hope so, the more the merrier!

Thanks for stopping by today, your readership blesses me and your comments mean the world! I honestly enjoy connecting with you. If you enjoyed today’s post I hope you’ll consider sharing it on Pinterest, Facebook, or email. If you haven’t signed up to follow by email you can do that now or follow along on Bloglovin.

Make it a great day friends!

I am so glad I saw that top on you and then ordered it! It.is.perfect. Love it with the pink pants. It really can go with so much and is soooo comfortable. I’m going to give that style challenge some serious thought since you’re doing it. I saw it, but was kinda chicken. Maybe I just need to put on my “big girl panties”? Have a great week sweet friend!! Do it, do it,do it,do it! How’s that for peer pressure, huh? I’m nervous and excited but I think it will be fun! I hope you join in,I don’t think I could ever do a capsule wardrobe because I am way too fickle but I think I can handle this. I’m happy you got this top too, it’s such a good one. Did you see that hot pink handkerchief ruffle top is on sale?I want it but I really don’t need another hot pink top – but it looked soooooooo good on you. Dilemmas! Make it a great one sweet friend!

That challenge sounds fun! The only clothing challenge I have done is the 30 days one where you pick 30 items from your closet and wear them for 30 days. I really love those blush pants and that top def. gives the outfit more of fall vibe and it works well with those adorable blush pants.

Oh my dear Mary, you are so kind! The girls love seeing what I wear each day but you should see what some of them wear!!! Holy cow, their parents must spend a fortune! I guess I got off cheap having two boys, lol.

Such a gorgeous floral and I love the color of those pants. Way to smack fall in the face when it’s giving us summer temps. Glad Sarah convinced you to participate in the Common Threads Challenge.
