I have been thinking a lot lately about getting dressed and how that has changed recently for so many of us. When I started working from home in January, 2018 I struggled at first. It begs the question, who do we dress for?

While there are lots of events and celebrations that call for different styles of dress, my answer to the question (and I hope yours is too) is I dress for me! Now more than ever I think the correlation between how we dress and what we accomplish is more evident. If I spend the day in cozy, comfy clothes I want to spend the day on the couch with a good book or movie. When I am dressed in clothes that button and zip and I’ve taken the time to add a few accessories? Well, I am ready to be a BOSS! Ha!!

Now understand, I am not saying anything against being comfy and cozy but I believe there’s a time and place for that. I would also say that even my clothes that button and zip are comfortable.
So while we are tempted by recent events to wear joggers and leggings 24/7 I challenge you to wear pants that button and zip at least a few times a week. You’ll thank me when this is all over and your clothes still fit. It’s honestly the best way to monitor your weight without getting scale obsessed. Will you join me?

At a time when we feel like we are missing out on so much and our everyday lives have changed so drastically it’s good for our mental health to look in the mirror and recognize yourself!

My favorite post from last week came from LegalLee Blonde, how cute is this? I love a fun, spring look, don’t you?
