White in Winter

Wearing white in Winter is totally okay. Don’t believe those old rules about banishing white after Labor Day. Rules schmules. Take a look at my outfit, do I not look like I’m dressed appropriate for the season?

This pair of white denim is old from Loft similar. You might remember I cut off the hem to give it that slightly frayed look last Summer. I cuffed them all the time so I figured why not. Glad I did! They still work well with tall boots and now my Summer denim is perfect for my white in Winter look!

My sweater is from Shein. I purchased it last Winter but it’s back this year for only $22 and comes in five colors. I’ve worn it with dark denim in the past but I have to say that pairing it with white for Winter is my favorite.

Since the sleeves steal the show, I didn’t wear a necklace and instead opted for earrings and one of my favorite bracelets from Accessory Concierge.

My boots are so old! I can’t remember if I purchased them at Macy’s or TJ Maxx. The brand is White Mountain and they are comfortable. Tall boots and sweaters last me forever because they only get worn a few times a season. These , these, and these are all by the same brand (comfortable!) and similar in color. I think they look great with white in Winter – less shocking than if you were to wear back or dark brown boots.

Here’s my tip if you want to wear your white denim from Summer in Winter: wear tall boots to conceal the cropped or frayed hem. You’ll get more wear from your favorite pair and they don’t have to wait until the weather warms to make an appearance!

Do you wear white in Winter? Would you try this?
