My last Friday of Summer break has arrived, ugh. Part of me is ready to get back to the routine of my day to day work life but the other part of me will miss the relaxed pace of Summer. Ready or not Monday is coming for me! Today I thought I’d give you a glimpse of where I’ll be spending my time and what I’ll be wearing. Keep in mind I am an elementary school counselor and Monday begins pre-planning so there are no students. The dress code is relaxed and many of my co-workers will be wearing shorts, tennis shoes, jeans, and tees as they get their classrooms ready. Since I don’t have a room to ready I’m choosing to wear fun pieces from my closet that won’t make the dress code cut once students return.
First up, where I’ll be. The majority of my time will be spent in my cute office. Yes, it’s pink and black. Yes, that’s a chandelier in the corner. Life is better with a chandelier and I believe every room should have one (I even have one in my laundry room). This office is the result of telling my seriously talented interior designer sister that I wanted to add some pink and black accessories to my office. She had different ideas after seeing the space so I handed over my credit card and now I have the happiest space in the school #ifidosaysomyself.
[easy-image-collage id=1840]As you can see while my office is decorated fabulously it’s also small and looks a bit like a garage sale right now. The bags are full of school supplies for needy students and there are piles of paperwork waiting to greet me. Yay me! #sarcasm
Now for what I’ll be wearing. Off the shoulder and cold shoulder tops and dresses all week! Except for Thursday when we host our Meet the Teacher event – and then I’ll look a bit more professional.
I bought my dress last Spring and it appears to be sold out this one, this one, and this one are similar and under $28!!!! Woo hoo!
I am planning on wearing my new wedges but when I’m not in those it’ll be my
Vionics.Just yesterday I was at Dillard’s and they had several different styles on sale – actually seriously discounted! Especially if you live in a warm climate you will be able to wear sandals for several more months, why not get a comfortable pair? You may not have known this but if you order directly from Vionic you get free shipping AND free returns! I did not purchase any new sandals because for now I think I’m set but I have my eye on some booties they make. I can’t wait to try them!
Before I go, just in case you didn’t know, this is the last weekend for the Nordstrom sale so if there was anything you were thinking about it’s time to pull the trigger. Prices go up Monday.
