What to Wear for Thanksgiving and Style Six Link Up

Well, my American friends, we are about a week out from Thanksgiving. If you are anything like me, you have some ideas of what you’ll wear but until I know what the weather will be I cannot commit. Generally it is warm but with all the surprises this year has thrown at us, I wouldn’t be surprised if it snowed! #notlikely

So today, I bring you three outfit ideas for a sweet and stylish Thanksgiving. Even if you aren’t going to a huge dinner and your holiday looks different this year, you still owe it to yourself to make the effort and look your best!

Outfit #1 Dress

Let’s face it, the weather determines what I’ll be wearing but if it’s like I expect (mid 80’s) I am wearing this dress. I bought this dress a few months ago from Target. It is fall perfection and so comfortable. The colors and the fit make it a great choice. I’ll wear it with booties and my hat, throw on some jewelry and feel like a million bucks (even though this dress is super affordable).

Outfit #2 Skirt & Slouchy Sweater

Let’s say there’s a slight chill in the air (insert big smiley face here). I will be wearing this slouchy sweater and skirt. Like most, we’ll be eating outside and rather than dealing with a jacket, I’ll wear my cozy sweater.

Slouchy Sweater + Midi Skirt

I love the idea of a half tuck with a skirt, it’s a little challenging with a bulky sweater. Definitely adds a little extra bulk to the hip area. But it’s fresh and trendy and let’s face it, I want to do what all the cool girls are doing!

Outfit #3 Poncho & Jeans

If it’s a bit cooler, I’ll be wearing this poncho. This time I’ll add my silk scarf (a Christmas gift I purchased for myself from my husband last year). I’ll add my black jeans and boots.

It’s a struggle for me to wear the scarf. I love it but I’m not sure I have the hang of it yet. But I do see the allure of a silk scarf, it feels so luxurious. But I’m walking a fine line between fashionable and flight attendant.

Holidays for me are a time I like to be dressed up but still be comfortable. Pictures will be taken and memories will be made, I want to look back fondly on this day regardless of COVID. What are your plans? Any idea what you’ll be wearing?

The post that caught my eye and tickled my fancy last week was this one, 6 Cozy Outfits for Lazy Days from the blog, Sparkle & Shine by Casey Rooney. Casey shared some great looks for those times (always) when you want to be cozy yet stylish!
