Today I am thrilled to share a new service with you! Fashom is a budget-friendly styling service bringing the latest fashion forward styles to your door. The clothing is high quality and ethically sourced from unique new designers all over the world! When they contacted me it took me a hot minute to decide that yes, I’d love to give it a try. Honestly I was enticed because the clothing is affordable – unlike so many other subscription styling services and I loved the fact that you get to choose what comes to you.
Here’s the skinny: you complete an online questionnaire. You’ll be asked to provide measurements as well as style and color preferences. Uploading a photo is an option as well – this all helps the stylist curating your box to get a feel for who you are. A few days after you complete the profile an email is sent to you with pictures of pieces the stylist has selected. From that list you choose the 5 you like best and voila! They’ll arrive at your door in just a few days.
Don’t like any of the pieces in the email? No problem. Your stylist will send another list. Fashom believes in loving yourself and loving your body and how we dress is a direct reflection of that.
Once your box arrives you have 3 days to decide what you’ll keep and what you’ll send back. Shipping is free both ways and they include a postage paid envelope for your convenience. If you decide to keep 3-4 pieces you’ll get a 25% discount and if you decide to keep all 5 pieces you get a 30% discount!
There is a slight styling fee of $15 (for your first box the styling fee is FREE!). The styling fee (for your 2nd box and beyond) is applied to any items you purchase. Also? There is no subscription fee! It’s a win-win! And Fashom gives back. For each box sold they donate $1 to Second Chance Rescue NYC. Now, you gotta love that!
Here are my 5 pieces, and let me tell you – I loved them all! Read on to find out what I kept and what just about bought me to tears.
Apny: Multicolor Kimono $47 Gosh I love a kimono and this one is so pretty! Lightweight and more of a scarf with armholes. Perfect completer piece in my opinion. Verdict: KEPT!
Windhorse: Half Sleeve Stitched Dress $45 A swing dress with attitude! It has a great textured pattern and the sides are just a bit shorter – kinda sassy, ya know? Not what you’d expect from the regular run of the mill swing dresses. It also has pockets. Verdict: KEPT!
Staccato: Smocked off the Shoulder Striped Top $37 Did I not just confess my love of OTS tops here? It’s like my stylist Morgan read my mind. The fabric is silky and the tie detail on the sleeves is special. Verdict: Kept!
Staccato: V-Neck Kriss Cross Sleeveless Floral Top $40 This top is beautiful and I love the details on the back! It will be great alone or as a layering piece. The fit is spot on and I can wear a regular bra with it. Verdict: KEPT!
Naked Zebra: Off Shoulder Ruffle Sleeve Tie Waist Dress $38 ing a replacThis dress is amazing! The fabric is so silky and luxurious. The sleeves are stunning and the fit is fantastic. I like it with the tie and without. I tried this on about 5 times, begging and pleading with myself that the color was not all wrong for me. I had decided I was keeping it and asked my husband. He said it was a great dress but the color was wrong. Womp, womp, womp. I want to cry over this one. So I emailed Fashom and they are working on finding a replacement for me. Fingers crossed! Verdict: returned. As I look at these photos though I think maybe it was too short? In my mind I thought I looked good in this dress but the photos seem to tell another story. Does that every happen to you?
The total for all 5 of my pieces was $207.00. Had I kept all 5 pieces the 30% discount would be $62.10 and the total would be $144.90. That is a great deal for 5 pieces of clothing – 2 of which were dresses! Remember if you decide to keep 3 or 4 pieces you save 25% on the total.
Will I use Fashom again? Absolutely! I can’t wait to see what my next box holds. If you’d like to give Fashom a try, now is the time! Until July 15th if you try Fashom and make a purchase you get a $20 credit using this referral link. I’ll get a $20 credit as well. Remember your first $15 styling fee is waived so you literally have nothing to lose!
I want to thank Fashom for inviting me to try their service in exchange for this blog post. I am so happy to share affordable, high quality fashion with you all!
